He is currently serving as the batting coach of the Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League. He was part of the 2012 ICC World T20 winning team for West Indies. During his period, he was one of the most aggressive batsman and he also has the record of six 6s in an over against Sri Lanka.

The Bangladesh Premier League 2019, also known as BPL Season 6 or UCB BPL 2019 Powered by TVS, was the sixth season of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), the top level professional Twenty20 cricket franchise league in Bangladesh. The competition was organised by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), featuring seven teams from seven cities. Teams are restricted to having four overseas players per side, instead of five in the previous edition of the tournament. Rangpur Riders were the defending champions.

In August 2022, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed the schedule for the tour. The ODI series formed part of the inaugural 2020–2023 ICC Cricket World Cup Super League.
