Jailyn Sue Ford (born June 3, 1994) is an American former professional softball pitcher and first basemen. She played college softball at James Madison and professionally for the Akron Racers and USSSA Pride of the National Pro Fastpitch. [2] [3] [4]
Ford played college softball for James Madison from 2013 to 2016 where she was part of the winningest Senior Class in James Madison history, where she also started every game of her college career, either at first base or pitcher. During Ford's time at James Madison, the Dukes won three CAA Regular Season Titles (2013, 2015, 2016), as well as a Tournament Title (2016). [5] [6]
She was drafted third overall by the Akron Racers and later played for USSSA Pride of National Pro Fastpitch, winning back-to-back titles in 2018 and 2019, being named MVP for the latter series. [7]

Megan Good is an American, former collegiate 4-time All-American, right-handed hitting softball pitcher, originally from Mount Sidney, Virginia. She attended Fort Defiance High School in Fort Defiance, Virginia. She later attended James Madison University, where she pitched for the James Madison Dukes softball team. She would go on to be named a 4-time First Team All-Colonial Athletic Association conference, Rookie of The Year, 4-time Pitcher of The Year and also Player of The Year in 2017. She is the career Triple Crown pitching leader for the Dukes as well as the ERA record holder for the CAA conference. She played for the USSSA Pride after being drafted to the NPF 10th overall. She would go on to win the Cowles Cup Championship with the team in her rookie year.
Natasha Renee Watley is an American, former collegiate four-time first-team All-American, two-time medal winning Olympian, retired seven-time pro-All-Star softball player. Watley played college softball at UCLA, and helped the Bruins win a national championship. She represented the United States women's national softball team at the 2004 Summer Olympics. She won a gold medal, and again at the 2008 Summer Olympics, and won a silver medal.
Lauren Elizabeth Lappin is an American former collegiate All-American and medal-winning Olympian, professional All-Star softball player and current assistant coach for Arizona. She played college softball at Stanford and led them to a semifinal finish at the 2004 Women's College World Series. She later represented the United States women's national softball team at the 2008 Summer Olympics and won a silver medal. She then played in the National Pro Fastpitch from 2010 to 2014, winning two Cowles Cup championships with the USSSA Pride.
Kelly Sue Kretschman is an American former nine-time professional All-Star softball outfielder and current head coach for the USSSA Pride of the Women's Professional Fastpitch (WPF). Kretschman played college softball at Alabama where she is the career leader in doubles and total bases. As a member of the United States women's national softball team, she won a gold medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics and a silver medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics. She also played in the National Pro Fastpitch with four teams including her longest tenure with the USSSA Pride; where she is the all-time career leader in RBIs, hits, doubles and base on balls. She also owns numerous records for the Tide and is one of select NCAA Division I players to bat .400 with 300 hits, 200 runs and 100 stolen bases for her career.
Charlotte Lee Morgan is an American former professional softball pitcher and current head coach for Cal State Northridge. She played college softball for Alabama from 2007 to 2010, where she is the career leader for the school in RBIs, also ranking top-15 in the NCAA Division I. She was also named a four-time all-conference honoree and twice named SEC Player of the Year. Morgan was the No. 1 draft pick in the 2010 National Pro Fastpitch Senior Draft, beginning her career with The USSSA Pride based in Kissimmee, Florida, winning a title in 2010. In 2020, Morgan was named the head coach of the California State University, Northridge softball team after previously working at several colleges as a pitching coach.
Sarah Jo Pauly is an American, former collegiate All-American, retired 7-time professional All-Star, right-handed softball pitcher and coach originally from Phoenix, Arizona. She played college softball at Texas A&M–Corpus Christi from 2002-2005 and owns virtually all the pitching records. She is the Big South Conference career strikeouts, ERA, shutouts, WHIP, strikeout ratio, no-hitters (9) and perfect games (2) leader in just three seasons. She joined the National Pro Fastpitch in 2006 and as a rookie earned Pitcher of The Year and currently holds NPF records for the most innings pitched, games played and games started through her 11 seasons as arguably the most successful undrafted player in league history. She is one of five NCAA Division I pitchers to win 100 games, strikeout 1,000 batters, maintain a sub-1.00 ERA and average double digit strikeouts for her entire career.
Chelsea Rae Thomas is an American former collegiate softball pitcher, originally from Pleasantville, Iowa. Thomas pitched for the Missouri Tigers in the Big 12 Conference and Southeastern Conference; Thomas is the career leader in wins and strikeouts for the school. She ranks top-10 for no hitters (11) and perfect games (3) in the NCAA Division I. Thomas and was drafted #20 in the National Pro Fastpitch and won a title in 2014.
The 2015 National Pro Fastpitch season was the 12th season of professional softball under the name National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) for the only professional women's softball league in the United States. From 1997 to 2002, NPF operated under the names Women's Pro Fastpitch (WPF) and Women's Pro Softball League (WPSL). Each year, the playoff teams battle for the Cowles Cup.
The 2017 NPF College Draft is the 14th annual collegiate draft for National Pro Fastpitch. It took place April 24, 2017 7:00 CT in Nashville, Tennessee at Acme Feed & Seed, a downtown entertainment venue. It was available for internet viewing via NPFTV, the league's streaming platform. The first selection was Jessica Burroughs of Florida State, picked by the USSSA Pride.
The James Madison Dukes softball team represents James Madison University in NCAA Division I college softball. The team participates in the Sun Belt Conference (SBC) and plays home games in Veterans Memorial Park. JMU has won six CAA championships, including back-to-back Championships in 2016 and 2017. The Dukes have been to the NCAA Division I softball tournament nine times, hosting Regionals and Super Regionals in 2016. The team's head coach is Loren LaPorte, leading the Dukes to a 197–74 record in six seasons.

Jessica Burroughs is an American former collegiate All-American professional softball pitcher. She played college softball at Florida State, being named a four-time all-conference and back-to-back Pitcher of the Year in her last two seasons. She would help the Seminoles to a semifinal finish at the 2016 Women's College World Series. Burroughs was selected first overall by the USSSA Pride in the 2017 NPF Draft. She went on to play for and win consecutive titles with the Pride in 2018 and 2019. She later played in the inaugural season of the Athletes Unlimited Softball league in 2020.
Ashley Deon Charters is an American, former collegiate All-American, retired professional 2-time All-Star right-handed softball infielder, originally from Beaverton, Oregon. She played college softball for the Washington Huskies softball as shortstop and second baseman and was part of the 2009 Women's College World Series championship team of the Pac-12 Conference. She is one of the select NCAA players in the 300 hits, 200 runs and 100 stolen base club. She later played two seasons with Team USA softball. After originally being drafted No. 11 in the National Pro Fastpitch, she went on to join the USSSA Pride and win a title in 2013.
Jolene Nicole Henderson is an American, former collegiate All-American, professional All-Star, right-handed hitting softball pitcher and first baseman and softball Assistant Coach, originally from Elk Grove, California. She was a starting pitcher for the California Golden Bears from 2010–13 where she is the career leader in wins and was a 4-time All-Pac-12 player. She is the reigning National Pro Fastpitch Pitcher of The Year after being drafted #3 overall in 2013 and currently ranks top-10 in career wins, ERA, WHIP and fielding percentage and is on the roster for the independent softball team the USSSA Pride. She also played on the United States women's national softball team in 2014.
Jessica "Jessie" Lynn Warren is an American, former collegiate All-American, professional softball player. She played college softball for the Florida State Seminoles, winning the 2018 Women's College World Series national title as a senior, and was subsequently named Most Outstanding Player for the series.
Madison Shipman is an American former professional softball player. She played college softball at Tennessee.
Blaire Luna is an American, former collegiate All-American, right-handed pro softball pitcher, originally from Austin, Texas. She attended Bowie High School in Austin, Texas. She later attended the University of Texas at Austin, where she pitched for the Texas Longhorns softball team in the Big 12 Conference and was named a Second Team and three-time First Team All-Conference honoree. She currently ranks 10th in career strikeout ratio for the NCAA Division I. In her senior year, Luna led Texas softball to a berth in the 2013 Women's College World Series semifinals, where they lost to Tennessee, 2–0. She later went on to play professional softball for the USSSA Pride of National Pro Fastpitch, and internationally in New Zealand.
Samantha Louisa Ricketts is an American, former collegiate All-American, professional softball first baseman, and the current head coach at Mississippi State. She played college softball at Oklahoma, where she set the then career RBI record and was named a two-time Second Team NFCA All-American.
Odicci Alexander is an American professional and former collegiate All-American softball two-way pitcher for the USSSA Pride. She was the starting pitcher for James Madison University from 2017 to 2021, leading the team to their first-ever Women's College World Series in 2021 and making it to the semi-finals. After the 2021 season, Alexander was named Softball America Pitcher of the Year and was also nominated for an ESPY Award for best female college athlete. She most recently played in the Athletes Unlimited Softball where she won the 2023 championship as the top individual points leader.
Jennifer Salling is a Canadian, former collegiate All-American, medal-winning Olympian and professional softball player. She played college softball at Oregon and Washington, and won a national championship at Washington in 2009. She has also played professionally in the National Pro Fastpitch for the USSSA Pride, Pennsylvania Rebellion and most recently the Canadian Wild. She represented Canada at the 2020 Summer Olympics, where she set the tournament batting average record for a single Olympic games, and won a bronze medal.
