Megan Good (born October 13,1995) is an American,former collegiate 4-time All-American,right-handed hitting softball pitcher,originally from Mount Sidney,Virginia. She attended Fort Defiance High School in Fort Defiance,Virginia. [1] [2] She later attended James Madison University,where she pitched for the James Madison Dukes softball team. She would go on to be named a 4-time First Team All-Colonial Athletic Association conference,Rookie of The Year,4-time Pitcher of The Year and also Player of The Year in 2017. She is the career Triple Crown pitching leader for the Dukes as well as the ERA record holder for the CAA conference. [3] [4] [5] She played for the USSSA Pride after being drafted to the NPF 10th overall. She would go on to win the Cowles Cup Championship with the team in her rookie year. [6] [7]
Good started her freshman campaign being named a CAA First-Team selectee,Rookie of The Year and National Fastpitch Coaches Association Second Team All-American. [8] She would set a career high in doubles and threw two no-hitters. Good debuted on February 14,she fanned 14 Maine Black Bears to set a career best in strikeouts for a regulation game. [9] She would also start one of two career streaks on both sides of the plate beginning with this win,she proceeded to win 26 more straight games before losing to the Hofstra Pride on May 7. [10] For that streak,Good allowed 90 hits,23 earned runs,27 walks and struck out 149 in 152.2 innings pitched for a 1.05 ERA and 0.77 WHIP. Then on February 27 she began a 12-game hit streak,hitting .488 (20/41) and tallying 11 RBIs,two home runs,striking out just once. In a game on March 13 vs. the UIC Flames,Good also had a career best 4 hits at the plate. [11] On April 26,Good no-hit the Elon Phoenix. [12]
As a sophomore,Good captured another First Team All-CAA,CAA Pitcher of The Year and her first First-Team NFCA All-American honors. [13] Good earned a conference pitching Triple Crown for leading in wins,ERA and strikeouts that year. [14] She would throw a perfect game on April 17 against the Drexel Dragons. [15] Later on May 13,she would walk three times in winning the CAA championship over the Towson Tigers for a career high. [16]
Good repeated exact honors from her previous year but added a Player of The Year award,a first for the CAA conference to have a dual winner to accompany a second pitching Triple Crown. [17] [18] She was the recipient of the 2017 NFCA National Player of the Year and also was named a finalist for the USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year award. [19] The Dukes set career bests in wins,strikeouts,shutouts,ERA,WHIP,strikeout ratio (7.7),batting average,hits and RBIs,also firing a no-hitter. She would also set the school season pitching Triple Crown records. Beginning on February 17,she would end a win over the Oklahoma State Cowgirls with 3.2 shutout innings and continue to not allow a run until the third inning of a win against the East Carolina Pirates on March 11. [20] Good surrendered 20 hits,10 walks and struck out 99 batters in 70.1 innings for a 0.43 WHIP during one of the best shutout streaks in NCAA history.
After taking 2018 to recovery from a leg injury,Good returned in 2019 and achieved her fourth First Team All-CAA and third Pitcher of The Year. She also had her fourth NFCA recognition,this time to the Third Team. [21] The senior set personal bests in home runs,slugging percentage and walks. Good opened the season throwing a victory against the Oregon Ducks for her 100th win. [22] On March 23,Good belted two home runs to drive in 7 RBIs in a run-rule over the Elon Phoenix. [23] Tossing a 9-inning shutout,Good set a new school record with 17 strikeouts against the Towson Tigers on March 31. [24] The Dukes made their fourth straight NCAA tournament appearance,losing to the eventual champions the UCLA Bruins with Good pitching for three innings and collecting two hits in her final collegiate game. Good would end her career leading James Madison in wins,strikeouts,ERA and WHIP. She owns the CAA record for ERA,including the national 2019 class ERA crown. [26] [27]

The James Madison Dukes are the intercollegiate athletics teams that represent James Madison University (JMU),in Harrisonburg,Virginia. The name "Dukes" is derived from Samuel Page Duke,the university's second president. The Dukes play as members of the Sun Belt Conference (SBC),which sponsors sports at the NCAA Division I level. In football,JMU participates in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) of Division I,formerly known as Division I-A. JMU was a charter member of the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA),. The Dukes officially left the CAA and joined the SBC in 2022,participating in Division I FBS football and other sports sponsored by the conference.

Angela Tincher O'Brien is an American,former collegiate All-American,retired professional All-Star softball pitcher and coach. She most recently served as the pitching coach at Virginia Tech. She was a 2008 first-round draft selection for the NPF Akron Racers. She is a graduate of James River High School and a 2008 graduate of Virginia Tech. In 2013,she was hired as Virginia Tech's softball pitching coach where she owns numerous school records. She is the ACC career leader in wins,strikeouts,shutouts,innings pitched,strikeout ratio and no-hitters,while also ranking in several records for the NCAA Division I,where she is one of five pitchers to achieve 100 wins,1,000 strikeouts,an ERA under 1.00 and average double-digit strikeouts for her career.
Danielle Henderson is an American,former collegiate All-American,medal-winning Olympian,retired professional All-Star softball pitcher who is currently the head coach at UMass. Henderson was a starting pitcher for the UMass Minutewomen softball from 1996 to 1999. Henderson also played professionally in National Pro Fastpitch from 2004 to 2007,where she currently ranks top-10 in career strikeout ratio (6.8). Along with numerous school records,she is the Atlantic 10 Conference career leader in ERA,shutouts,perfect games (3) and WHIP. Henderson represented the United States at the 2000 Summer Olympics and won a gold medal.
The James Madison Dukes baseball team represents James Madison University in NCAA baseball. The "Diamond Dukes," as the team is known,have compiled a 1092-670-8 all-time record and have made the NCAA tournament eight times,most recently in 2024. The Dukes compete in the Sun Belt Conference.
Stacey Lauren Nelson is an American,former college softball All-American pitcher. She played at Florida from 2006 to 2009,leading the University of Florida to its first Women's College World Series berth in 2008 and a national runner-up appearance in the 2009 Women's College World Series. Nelson was also the 13th pick in the 2009 National Pro Fastpitch's draft by the defunct Washington Glory. Nelson pitched for the United States women's national softball team in 2009 and 2010 before attending law school at Loyola Law School in Los Angeles. She is the Florida career record holder wins,ERA,shutouts and innings pitched. She also ranks all-time in several career categories in the Southeastern Conference and the NCAA Division I.
The James Madison Dukes men's soccer team is an intercollegiate varsity sports team of James Madison University. As of the 2022 season,the Dukes are members of the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I Sun Belt Conference. They began play in 1968. The Dukes play their home games at Sentara Park. During the 2011 Colonial Athletic Association men's soccer season,the Dukes won the regular season.
Keilani Johanna Ricketts Tumanuvao is an American softball pitcher for the Oklahoma City Spark of the Women's Professional Fastpitch (WPF). She played college softball at Oklahoma from 2010 to 2013,where she was the starting pitcher and helped to lead the Sooners to the national championship in 2013. As a member of the United States women's national softball team she won 2011 World Cup of Softball. Ricketts currently plays for the USSSA Pride in the National Pro Fastpitch. She is the Sooners career leader in wins and strikeouts. She also ranks for career records in both the Big 12 Conference and the NCAA Division I,where she is one three players to win 100 games with 1,000 strikeouts and hit 50 home runs.

He previously played for the Saskatchewan Roughriders and BC Lions of the Canadian Football League (CFL),Columbus Lions of American Indoor Football (AIF),DC Defenders of the XFL,and Pittsburgh Maulers and Philadelphia Stars of the United States Football League (USFL).
The James Madison Dukes softball team represents James Madison University in NCAA Division I college softball. The team participates in the Sun Belt Conference (SBC) and plays home games in Veterans Memorial Park. JMU has won six CAA championships,including back-to-back Championships in 2016 and 2017. The Dukes have been to the NCAA Division I softball tournament nine times,hosting Regionals and Super Regionals in 2016. The team's head coach is Loren LaPorte,leading the Dukes to a 197–74 record in six seasons.
Jailyn Sue Ford is an American former professional softball pitcher and first basemen. She played college softball at James Madison and professionally for the Akron Racers and USSSA Pride of the National Pro Fastpitch.

Jolene Nicole Henderson is an American,former collegiate All-American,professional All-Star,right-handed hitting softball pitcher and first baseman and softball Assistant Coach,originally from Elk Grove,California. She was a starting pitcher for the California Golden Bears from 2010–13 where she is the career leader in wins and was a 4-time All-Pac-12 player. She is the reigning National Pro Fastpitch Pitcher of The Year after being drafted #3 overall in 2013 and currently ranks top-10 in career wins,ERA,WHIP and fielding percentage and is on the roster for the independent softball team the USSSA Pride. She also played on the United States women's national softball team in 2014.
Rachel Lauren Garcia is an American former softball pitcher. She most recently served as the pitching coach for UC San Diego. She played college softball for the UCLA Bruins and led the Bruins to the 2019 Women's College World Series championship,where she was named the Most Outstanding Player.

She was the starting pitcher for James Madison University from 2017 to 2021,leading the team to their first-ever Women's College World Series in 2021 and making it to the semi-finals. After the 2021 season,Alexander was named Softball America Pitcher of the Year and was also nominated for an ESPY Award for best female college athlete. She most recently played in the Athletes Unlimited Softball where she won the 2023 championship as the top individual points leader.

She played college softball at UCLA from 2019 to 2023,where she was named a three-time All-American by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA). As a sophomore in 2020,she was named Softball America Pitcher of the Year. Faraimo played in Athletes Unlimited Softball,where she named the 2023 Athletes Unlimited Rookie of the Year.
Georgina Louise Corrick is a British born,American raised professional softball player for Athletes Unlimited Softball. She played college softball for the South Florida Bulls. She is also a member of the Great Britain women's national softball team. In 2022,she was the first pitching Triple Crown winner in NCAA Division I history. In 2024,she was inducted into the British Softball Hall of Fame.
Danielle Lauren Williams is an American former college softball player for Northwestern. As a freshman in 2019,she was named NFCA National Freshman of the Year.
