Jalal Khan (born 13 August 1927) was a Pakistani javelin thrower. Khan represented Pakistan at the 1952 Summer Olympics and 1956 Summer Olympics. [1]

Career

Jalal won the bronze medal in the 1954 Commonwealth Games and silver four years later in 1958. In 1954, he came below fellow national Muhammad Nawaz. [2] [3] [4] [5]

In the Asian Games, he won two silver medals, both behind Muhammad Nawaz in 1954 and 1958. [6] [7] [8] [9]

His personal best, 73.16m, was set in 1959.

Like his fellow soldiers, Khan was awarded with honours at the World Military Games and several international tournaments. [6]

Arshad Nadeem is a Pakistani javelin thrower. He is the reigning Olympic and Commonwealth Games champion. He is also the current silver medalist in the World Athletics Championship. He set an Olympic and Asian record with a throw of 92.97 metres (305.0 ft) at the 2024 Summer Olympics. His throw was also the sixth longest throw in the history of javelin throw, when considering only the best throw from each athlete.
