Javed Ahmed Tak is an Indian divyang social worker. He was conferred with India's fourth highest civilian honour the Padma Shri in 2020 for his contribution in social work. [1] [2] [3] [4]
Tak has been working with divyang children for more than two decades. [5] [6] He provided free education, material aid and motivation to over 100 children of 40 villages in Anantnag and Pulwama. [7] He established Zaiba Aapa School and Humanity Welfare Organization for the divyang people. [8] He is disabled due to a spinal injury caused by a militant attack. [9]
The Padma Vibhushan is the second-highest civilian award of the Republic of India, after the Bharat Ratna. Instituted on 2 January 1954, the award is given for "exceptional and distinguished service", without distinction of race, occupation, position, or sex. The award criteria include "service in any field including service rendered by Government servants" including doctors and scientists, but excluding those working with the public sector undertakings. As of 2020, the award has been bestowed on 314 individuals, including seventeen posthumous and twenty-one non-citizen recipients.

The Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar, formerly known as the National Child Award for Exceptional Achievement, is India'sHighest Civilian Honour bestowed upon exceptional achievers under the age of 18.
