Viswanathan Shanta was an Indian oncologist and the chairperson of Adyar Cancer Institute,Chennai. She is best known for her efforts towards making quality and affordable cancer treatment accessible to all patients in her country. She dedicated herself to the mission of organizing care for cancer patients,study of the disease,research on its prevention and cure,spreading awareness about the disease,and developing specialists and scientists in various subspecialties of oncology. Her work won her several awards,including the Magsaysay Award,Padma Shri,Padma Bhushan,and Padma Vibhushan,the second highest civilian award given by the Government of India.

Mansour Mohamed El-Kikhia is a Libyan academic and politician. El-Kikhia is a former member of the Libyan National Transitional Council as a city representative for Benghazi. He is an alumnus of the University of Provence,from where he received a PhD in Population Geography with Distinction in 1986. El-Kikhia is well known in Benghazi for his role with the Public Scout and Girl Guide Movement of Libya;he was awarded the Bronze Wolf,the only distinction of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in 1981.
Chandraprabha Saikiani or Chandraprava Saikiani was an Assamese freedom fighter,activist,writer and social reformer considered to be the pioneer of the feminist movement in Assam. She was the founder of The All Assam Pradeshik Mahila Samiti,a non governmental organization working for the welfare of the women of Assam and was a recipient of the fourth highest Indian civilian award of Padma Shri for the year 1972 from the Government of India. Three decades later,the Indian government issued a commemorative stamp on Saikiani under the series,Social Reformers,in 2002.

Raj Baveja is an Indian gynecologist,obstetrician and the former head of the department of gynecology and obstetrics at the Motilal Nehru Medical College,Allahabad. She also serves as the honorary Medical Superintendent of the Kamla Nehru Memorial Hospital,Allahabad. She is an elected fellow of the National Academy of Medical Sciences,and the Government of India awarded her the fourth highest Indian civilian honour of Padma Shri in 1983.
Silverine Swer (1910–2014),popularly known as Kong Sil,was an Indian social and environmental activist,educationist and civil servant. She was the first person of tribal origin to hold senior posts with the Government of Meghalaya,and was a recipient of the Silver Elephant Medal of the Bharat Scouts and Guides Award and Kaisar-i-Hind Medal. The Government of India awarded her the fourth highest civilian award of Padma Shri in 1990,making her the first recipient of the award from the state of Meghalaya.
Acharya Ramamurti was an Indian social activist,gandhian,educationist and academic. He headed the review committee of 1990,popularly known as Ramamurti Review Committee,for evaluating the progress of the National Policy on Education of 1986. He was the director of Shrambharati,a non governmental organization,engaged in community development,adhering to Gandhian ideals. The Government of India awarded him the fourth highest civilian award of the Padma Shri in 1999.
Suresh Gundu Amonkar was an Indian educationist,writer,and chairman of Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education. He served as the director of State Literacy Mission and Adult Education,as the Chief Commissioner of Goa State chapter of the Bharat Scouts and Guides and as the president of the Council of Boards of Secondary Education (COBSE). He translated several classics into Konkani language,including Dhammapada,Tirukkuṛaḷ,Bhagavad Gita,Gospel of John and Dnyaneshwari. He was a recipient of the Goa State Teacher's Award and the 2012 Jyanpithkar Ravindra Kelekar Award. The Government of India awarded him the fourth highest civilian honour of the Padma Shri,in 2009,for his contributions to Literature and Education.

Avani Lekhara is an Indian Paralympian and rifle shooter from Rajasthan. She won the gold medal in the 10m air rifle standing event at the 2024 Paris Paralympics and defended the gold she won at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics,thus making history by winning two back-to-back golds. She also won the bronze in the 50m rifle 3 positions SH1 event at Tokyo,becoming the first Indian woman to win multiple medals at a single Paralympic Games. Lekhara is a two-time gold and one-time silver medalist at the Para Shooting World Cup.
