Theilin Phanbuh is an Indian social worker and the chairperson of the Meghalaya State Commission for Women (MSCW). [1] [2] Born on 13 April 1946 in Shillong in the Northeast Indian state of Meghalaya, [3] she is reported to have been actively involved with the socio-cultural milieu of the state, [4] [5] especially in cases where women's rights are challenged [6] [7] and delivers lectures on the topic. [8] The Government of India awarded her the fourth highest civilian honour of the Padma Shri, in 2005, for her contributions to Indian society. [9] [10]
