Bhim Singh Bhavesh is an Indian journalist from the Bhojpur district of Bihar in eastern India, whose work has focused on advocacy for the Musahar community. [1] He has been involved in several community-based initiatives to promote education, public health, and social equity. [2] In 2025, he received the Padma Shri, India’s fourth-highest civilian honour, for his work in social service. [3]

Career

Bhavesh began his career as a journalist, reporting on public issues in Bihar. He later expanded into activism, particularly among the Musahar community in Bhojpur. His activities have included education drives for children, vocational training for youth, and awareness campaigns on health and sanitation. [4] [5]
