Jazan Economic City (Arabic : مدينة جيزان الاقتصادية) is a planned economic city in the Jizan Province of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with a focus on the energy and manufacturing industries. [1] The primary developers involved in the construction of the city are MMC Corporation Berhad and Saudi Binladin Group. [2]
The Province of Jazan lies in the south west section of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It has a population of approximately 1,405,000 at the 2022 Census and covers an area of 11,671 km2 including some 5,000 villages and cities. Jizan, is home to the Port of Jizan on the Red Sea.

Farasan Island is the largest island of the Farasan Islands, in the Red Sea. It is located some 50 km (31 mi) offshore from Jizan, the far southwestern part of Saudi Arabia and is among the largest islands in the Red Sea. It is located at 16.7°N 41.0°E. The main town on the island is Farasan. The Farasan island marine sanctuary has been created around the island to protect biodiversity.
Al Lith is a city in the Tihamah region on the coast of the Red Sea south west of the holy city of Mecca. It is the fifth largest city in population in Makkah Province, and it is one of the large sea ports of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on the Red Sea, and Miqat Yalamlam is located north of it. The population of Al Lith is over 20,800 people.

The Jizan Dam, also spelled Jazan, is a gravity dam on Wadi Jizan about 16 km (9.9 mi) northeast of Abu `Arish in Jizan Province of southwest Saudi Arabia. It has several purpose to include irrigation and flood control. Located in a desert, the dam collects run-off and stores it for periodic releases downstream. Water released from the dam is distributed by two diversion dams downstream for the irrigation of 8,000 ha of land. Crops grown include sorghum with eucalyptus and tamarisk grown for anti-desertification. The dam was completed in 1970 and is owned by the Ministry of Water and Electricity.
