Background
John F. Kennedy Catholic High School (Kennedy Catholic) was established in 1968 and is named after President John F. Kennedy.
John F. Kennedy High School had about 280 students at time of closing.
It was the only co-educational, archdiocesan Catholic High School in West County, St. Louis, Missouri.
Kennedy had recently renovated its entire campus with its first capital campaign in 40 years, raising over $1 million. The newly remodeled building included a new entrance, commons area, cafeteria, and offices, though it still lacked windows.
Kennedy was located off of MO-141, north of Manchester Road.
Kennedy offered a wide variety of student clubs and activities. Boys' sports included football, soccer, swimming, cross country, baseball, basketball, tennis, golf, and track. Girls' sports included soccer, swimming, cross country, softball, basketball, tennis, golf, track, and volleyball.
Booster Club
The Booster Club provided additional income to the Kennedy athletic program, through the sale of the Celt Club Card and various fundraising activities. Traditionally, the Kennedy Dads were visible on Kennedy Pride Days, performing chores around the 23-acre (93,000 m2) campus and baking cookies for Open House.
Mothers' Club
The Mothers' Club met twice monthly, serving the Kennedy community and one another through spiritual support. The Mothers' Club also helped organize and disseminate Kennedy class information. Every Kennedy mother was invited to attend Mass in the chapel each month and to participate in all-school liturgies throughout the year.
Advancement Office
Kennedy's Advancement Office was the liaison between the school and the parent organizations.
Due to the financial constraints of the 2008 economic recession, Kennedy had instituted a tuition assistance initiative called "Celts Helping Celts." Fundraisers such as a Spaghetti Dinner, a Freshman Dance Party and a Mardi Gras T-shirt sale raised money that was earmarked for families who needed tuition assistance. [5]
The University of Detroit Jesuit High School and Academy was founded in 1877, and is one of two Jesuit high schools in the city of Detroit, Michigan, the other being Loyola High School. Located in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Detroit, the school is rooted in the Ignatian tradition. It is an all-boys school with an academy for grades seven and eight. Students come from throughout the United States and from countries throughout the world. Canning Hall, the name of the dormitory, accommodates up to sixty-five residents. The school bears the name of Father William Joseph Chaminade, a priest who lived during the era of the French Revolution and who founded the religious order known as the Society of Mary (Marianists). The school maintains an active relationship with the Society of Mary through governance structures and the employment of lay and religious Marianists and maintaining this charism.

John F. Kennedy Catholic School, often referred to as Warren JFK, is a private, Catholic school in Warren, Ohio, United States. It is owned and operated by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Youngstown and is divided into two campuses: the Upper Campus for grades 6–12 and the Lower Campus for grades K–5. The school athletic teams are known as the Eagles. The current building opened in 1964 as a replacement for St. Mary High School and was known as John F. Kennedy High School. Initial plans called for the new building to be named Annunciation High School, but after the assassination of John F. Kennedy in 1963, area Catholics asked the diocese to name the new school after Kennedy. In 2007, the school expanded to grades K-12 and was renamed John F. Kennedy Catholic School by adding the former Blessed Sacrament School. A junior high school program for 7th and 8th grades was added to the high school building, which was renamed the Upper Campus, while the former Blessed Sacrament School was renamed the Lower Campus for grades K–6. Later, 6th grade was moved to the Upper Campus. As of the 2017–18 school year, the school serves approximately 600 students in grades K–12, with over 300 at the Upper Campus.
