Following the release of Jokers Wild, viewers expressed their support for David Howard Thornton to be cast as the Joker in the DC Universe created by James Gunn and Peter Safran. [4] [5] Within its first week of release, Jokers Wild had received over 50,000 views, and by October 2025, had received over 526,000 views. [6]

Sequel

Before and following the release of Jokers Wild, David Howard Thornton, who previously portrayed the Joker in six episodes of the Nightwing: Escalation web series, showed interest in reprising the role in the future.
