Juniperus pingii is a species of conifer in the family Cupressaceae. Commonly used in bonsai, it can produce a correct proportional miniature version of the full size tree. It is native only to China. It is named after the Chinese botanist Wan Chun Cheng.
Xanthocyparis is a genus of cypresses in the family Cupressaceae. As of August 2021, it has only one species, Xanthocyparis vietnamensis, native to Vietnam and southeast China. It is commonly known as the Vietnamese golden cypress. The Nootka cypress, Cupressus nootkatensis or Callitropsis nootkatensis, was also placed in the genus, but this has been rejected.

The plant is native and endemic to a limited area of the Sikhote-Alin mountains in Primorskiy Krai in the Russian Far East. Microbiota is not to be confused with the range of microorganisms of the same name. The genus name was derived from micro-, meaning "small", + Biota, the genus name for a closely related conifer, a species formerly called Biota orientalis, now renamed Platycladus orientalis.

Pinus massoniana var. hainenensis is an extremely rare variety of Pinus massoniana in the family Pinaceae that is endemic to a very small western portion of the island of Hainan, China, presumably on hillsides. The variety was described by Wan Chun Cheng and Li-kuo Fu in 1975.
