KL Metropolis is a 75.5-acre mixed development situated nearby the Kuala Lumpur Courts Complex in the district of Segambut, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The term "KL" from its name is short for Kuala Lumpur. [1] This RM21 billion development is envisioned to become the leading centre for international trade and exhibition of Kuala Lumpur, similar to the Tun Razak Exchange which on the other hand will become the city's new financial district. [2] [3] It will consist a total gross floor of 22,800,000 sq ft (2,120,000 m2). KL Metropolis will integrate trade, commerce, living, and transport in one bustling hub located within the big city which will be built in stages over a duration of 20 years. [4]
A proposed direct link road from the NKVE and DUKE Highway connecting Jalan Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah junction has also been planned to ease traffic for the development in the future. An MRT3 station will also be built along Jalan Dutamas 2.
KL Metropolis' landmark building will be the 100-storey NAZA Signature Tower within MET 3, and is set to dominate the skyline in the western side of Kuala Lumpur. The tower is a proposed supertall skyscraper that will 412.8 m (1,354 ft) high above ground. [5]
The KL Metropolis development is being undertaken by Naza TTDI Sdn Bhd, a real estate company of Naza Group. [6]
The development is subdivided into nine parcels - MET 1, MET 2, MET 3, MET 5, MET 6, MET 7, MET 8, MET 9 as well as MITEC which was accordingly supposed to be the MET 4. [7] Two of the precincts will be jointly developed with partners; MET 5 with Hap Seng Land Sdn Bhd while MET 8 with Triterra Metropolis Sdn Bhd. [8]
Three towers comprising simplex, duplex suites and serviced residences on a 3.29 acres (1.33 ha) land. Arte Mont Kiara was developed by Arte Corp, formerly known as Nusmetro Property Sdn Bhd (Nusmetro), under a joint-venture with Naza TTDI. The project was launched in 2015 and completed in 2020. 33-storey office tower with the Ministry of International Trade and Industry's main headquarters, commonly known as MITI Tower or Menara MITI, will be situated within the development.
13-acre land developed on top of MET 4 with a total area of 1.5 million square feet. [11] The Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) is the first flagship and component of the development which officially opened in August 2017. [12]
Also known as the KL Metropolis Park, it will have 8 acres (3.2 ha) of urban park and recreational facilities which will be constructed in between MET 3 and MITEC lands as part of the government's Greener KL initiative. It will be integrated to the other precincts via pedestrian walkaways in the district while Naza TTDI Sdn Bhd will be managing the RM20 million park over 15 years. [13] Among the facilities included will be a dry and wet playground, jogging park, kinetic fitness stations, therapeutic garden, terrace garden, sculpture park, picnic mound, nightscapes, event lawn, amphitheatre and dry fountain. The park is currently undergoing construction phase. [14]
TTDI KL Metropolis Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Naza TTDI, is currently constructing MET 1 on 4.25 acres of land right beside the Kuala Lumpur High Court. MET 1’s development will include an office tower, 55-storey MET1 Residences, Somerset KL Metropolis by The Ascott Limited (Ascott) and MET Galleria. [15] It is also one of the first retail component of the KL Metropolis development with 80,000 sq ft (7,400 m2) space on 3 levels of retail. The project was officially kicked off in 2017 and is expected to be completed in 2023. [16] [17]

15.3-acre land for the proposed 2,000,000 sq ft (190,000 m2) lifestyle mall located at the foot of the NAZA Signature Tower. MET 3 will also be built together with a luxury condominium, 5-star hotel together with Grade A office towers. [18] In January 2022, Hap Seng Consolidated Berhad had plans to acquire the land of MET 3 under a purchase agreement to strengthen its property development business particularly in KL Metropolis.
An 8.95 acres (3.62 ha) of land which was launched in 2018 and consist of a mixed-use development right next to Kuarters Kerajaan Jalan Duta. Met 5 will include a retail mall, 2 office towers, 3 residential towers, a corporate tower and a 5-star hotel under Hyatt Regency. [19] The 500,000 square feet shopping mall will be managed by AEON Co. (M) Bhd and will include a supermarket as well as a department store under its brand. The Fiddlewoodz is currently being built on 1.86 acres (0.75 ha) of land and will feature 2 blocks of serviced apartments. It has been slated for completion by 2025 with a gross development value of RM828 million. (Partnership with EXSIM Development Sdn Bhd) [21] [22]

The MET is built through a partnership with Triterra Metropolis Sdn Bhd on 2.47 acres (1.00 ha) to the west of KL Metropolis. The construction of the 2 blocks commenced in 2018 and was completed in 2023. It features two Grade A strata office towers of Tower A and B, with 42-storey and 30-storey respectively. [24] The Construction Industry Development Board Malaysia (CIDB) main headquarters is located here at tower B, while tower A is currently leased out to German-based Siemens Healthineers AG. [25]

In the future, the district will be served by the proposed CC06 Dutamas MRT station on the MRT Circle Line. The station is still in planning stage as the developer is working with the Malaysian government to identify a site for the station.
The nearest station to the area as for now is the KA05 Segambut Komuter station of the 2 Port Klang Line.
Kuala Lumpur Sentral Station is a transit-oriented development that houses the main railway station of Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia. Opened on 16 April 2001, KL Sentral replaced the old Kuala Lumpur railway station as the city's main inter-city railway station. KL Sentral is the largest railway station in Malaysia, and also in Southeast Asia from 2001 to 2021, before Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal in Bangkok, Thailand was completed.
The Kuala Lumpur Tower, colloquially referred to as KL Tower, is a 6-storey, 421-metre-tall telecommunication tower in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is the world's seventh-tallest tower. It features an antenna which increases its height to 421 metres. The roof of the pod is at 335 metres. The rest of the tower below has a stairwell and an elevator to reach the upper area, which also contains a revolving restaurant, providing diners with a panoramic view of the city.

Mont Kiara, often stylized as Mont' Kiara and MK, is an affluent suburb at the northwest of downtown Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in the constituency of Segambut. It consists mainly of high-rise residential condominiums and office complexes which were mostly developed by UEM Sunrise Berhad, a well-known property development arm of UEM Group. It is located in the heart of Klang Valley, halfway between Kepong and downtown Kuala Lumpur. It is adjacent to Sri Hartamas in the south and KL Metropolis in the east, and is heavily populated by expats.
Taman Tun Dr Ismail is a mid-sized township in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Situated on the border of Kuala Lumpur and Selangor, it is within the vicinity of other townships including Bandar Utama Damansara, Damansara Utama, Mutiara Damansara. It also neighbours Bukit Kiara and Sri Hartamas and is within easy access of Bangsar and Damansara Heights. MATRADE Exhibition and Convention Centre (MECC) (Malay: Pusat Pameran dan Konvensyen MATRADE) is a trade centre, exhibition hall, and convention centre in the suburb of Segambut, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. MECC, established by MATRADE (Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation), provides convention facilities, exhibition halls, and meeting rooms. MATRADE has also allocated a permanent exhibition space for 400 local companies at the exhibition hall on the second floor. The centre is also a component of Naza TTDI’s KL Metropolis development which is expected to be fully completed within 12 to 15 years time.
The Tun Razak Exchange, otherwise known as TRX, is a 70-acre development by Ministry of Finance Malaysia (MOF) in the heart of Kuala Lumpur for international finance and business. The development was named after the second Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tun Abdul Razak Hussein, due to its location along Jalan Tun Razak. TRX was planned during the era of the sixth Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Abdul Razak and it is a strategic enabler of the Malaysian government's Economic Transformation Programme (ETP).
Citibank Tower, is a 50-storey Class A commercial tower located close to the Petronas Towers and houses the headquarters of Citibank Syariah. The building was developed by The Lion Group and completed in 1995, and was originally named Menara Lion or Lion Tower until Citibank acquired a 50% stake and moved into the building in 2000.
Merdeka 118, formerly known as Menara Warisan Merdeka, KL 118 and PNB 118, is a 118-storey megatall skyscraper in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. At 678.9 m (2,227 ft) tall, it is the second-tallest building and structure in the world, only behind the Burj Khalifa at 828 m (2,717 ft).
The MRT Circle Line, also known as MRT 3, is a proposed thirteenth rail transit line, the third Mass Rapid Transit line and the fourth fully automated and driverless rail system in the Klang Valley, Malaysia. Once completed, this line would form the loop line of the Klang Valley Integrated Transit System. The director of this project is currently Tuan Haji Mohd Yusof Kasiron. The circle line will be numbered 13 and coloured blue violet on official transit maps. Before 4 July 2024, the circle line was coloured grey on its official alignment map.

Four Seasons Place Kuala Lumpur, also known as Four Seasons KLCC and FSP KLCC Tower, is a 74-story, 342.5-metre tall (1,124 ft) supertall skyscraper in Kuala Lumpur City Centre, Malaysia. It features a 21 m (69 ft) high crown made out of steel at the top of the tower, making the tower reaches the height of 342.5 m (1,124 ft). It is located within the Kuala Lumpur City Centre precinct in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The building was developed by Ipoh-born Singapore tycoon, Ong Beng Seng, partnering Tan Sri Syed Yusof Tun Syed Nasir and the Sultan of Selangor under Venus Assets Sdn Bhd. It is currently the sixth tallest building in Malaysia.
The Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre, often abbreviated as MITEC, is the largest trade and exhibition centre of Malaysia located in the suburb of Segambut, Kuala Lumpur. It is situated right next to MATRADE Exhibition and Convention Centre (MECC) and Menara MITI. The centre has a gross floor area of 143,191 square meters, sprawling over a 13.3-acre prime land and a total of 484,376 square meters of exhibit space with ceilings as high as 36 meters making indoor sporting events feasible.
Bukit Bintang City Centre, also known as BBCC for short, is a 19.4 acres (7.9 ha) mixed-use development on the former site of Pudu Prison in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The development is located at the south western end of Bukit Bintang, bordering with the Pudu district along Jalan Hang Tuah and Jalan Pudu.
