The KOD Tour was the eighth headlining concert tour by American recording artist J. Cole, in support of his fifth studio album, KOD (2018). The tour began on August 9, 2018 in Miami at the American Airlines Arena and concluded on October 10, 2018 in Boston at TD Garden. [2]

Background

J. Cole announced the tour on May 8, 2018. Rapper Young Thug was announced as the supporting act. [2] In an interview with Atlanta's Hot 107.9, rapper Lil Baby revealed that he was originally going to be on the tour. [3] On July 30, 2018, it was announced that rapper Jaden Smith, duo EarthGang and Cole's alter ego kiLL edward would be joining Young Thug as supporting acts on the tour. [4]

    J. Cole American rapper (born 1985)

    Jermaine Lamarr Cole is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer. He is regarded as one of the most influential rappers of his generation. Born on a military base in Germany and raised in Fayetteville, North Carolina, Cole initially gained recognition as a rapper following the release of his debut mixtape, The Come Up, in early 2007.     Jeffery Lamar Williams, known professionally as Young Thug, is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter. Known for his eccentric vocal style and fashion, Thug initially released a series of independent mixtapes beginning in 2011 with I Came from Nothing.     Summer Sixteen Tour

    The Summer Sixteen Tour was a co-headlining concert tour by Canadian rapper Drake, and American rapper Future. It began on July 20, 2016 in Austin, and concluded with its final show in Toronto, Ontario on October 8, 2016. Scheduled for 60 performances across North America, the tour was produced by Apple Music in conjunction with Drake's fourth studio album, Views, Future's fourth studio album Evol, as well as their collaborative mixtape What a Time to Be Alive. Guest appearances include Fat Joe, 2 Chainz, Ty Dolla $ign, Young Thug, Kanye West, and more.     Destin Choice Route, better known by his stage name JID, is an American rapper and singer. He is part of the musical collective Spillage Village, founded by EarthGang in 2010, with Hollywood JB, JordxnBryant, and 6lack, among others. He is signed to J. Cole's Dreamville Records and Interscope Records. He is also a member of the hip hop supergroup Zoink Gang, with Smino, Buddy and Guapdad 4000.

    Raqhid Jevon Render, known professionally as Lil Keed, was an American rapper and songwriter. He was signed to Young Thug's record label YSL Records, as well as 300 Entertainment. His song "Nameless" reached number 42 on the Billboard Hip Hop/R&B Songs Airplay chart.
