Khorramabad (Persian : خرم اباد‎, also Romanized as Khorramābād; also known as Khormābād)^[1] is a village in Baranduz Rural District, in the Central District of Urmia County, West Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 253, in 62 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is a pluricentric language primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Baranduz Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in the Central District of Urmia County, West Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 11,502, in 2,628 families. The rural district has 28 villages.
