Krishna N. Ganesh (born 1953) is an Indian chemist. Currently, he is the director of Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Tirupati. He was previously the director of the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Pune. [1]

He is the son-in-law of Bharat Ratna C. N. R. Rao [2]

He did his MSc from the Bangalore University and then moved to Delhi University to obtain his PhD. After obtaining his PhD from Delhi in 1977, Ganesh moved to Cambridge University to obtain one more PhD. He completed his second PhD within three years and then came back to India and in 1981 joined the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology, Hyderabad. He worked as a scientist in the National Chemical Laboratory, Pune from 1987 to 2006, after which he held directorship at IISER Pune.

Krishnaswamy VijayRaghavan FRS is an emeritus professor and former director of the National Centre for Biological Sciences. On 26 March 2018 the Government of India appointed him as the principal scientific adviser to succeed Dr. R Chidamabaram. In 2012 he was elected a fellow of The Royal Society and in April 2014 he was elected as a foreign associate of the US National Academy of Sciences. He was conferred the Padma Shri on 26 January 2013 and is also a recipient of the Infosys Prize in the life sciences category in 2009.

Valipe Ramgopal Rao is the director of the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. He was a P.K.Kelkar Chair Professor in Department of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay and is now also the director at IIT Delhi. Ramgopal Rao has more than 450 publications in various journals, and 45 patents in the areas of Electron devices and Nanoelectronics. Ramgopal Rao was the first elected chairman for the Indian Section of the American Nano Society. Ajay K. Sood

Ajay Kumar Sood is an Indian physicist, researcher and holder of 2 US and 5 Indian patents, known for his pioneering research findings on graphene and nanotechnology. He is a Distinguished Honorary Professor of Physics at Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. The Government of India honoured him in 2013, with the Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian award, for his contributions to the fields of science and technology. Sood was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society (FRS) in 2015. He has been on the Physical Sciences jury for the Infosys Prize from 2019.

Sanghamitra Bandyopadhyay is an Indian computer scientist specializing in computational biology. A professor at the Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata, she is a Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize winner in Engineering Science for 2010 and an Infosys Prize 2017 laureate in the Engineering and Computer Science category. Her research is mainly in the areas of evolutionary computation, pattern recognition, machine learning and bioinformatics. Since 1 August 2015, she has been the Director of the Indian Statistical Institute, and she would oversee the functioning of all five centres of Indian Statistical Institute located at Kolkata, Bangalore, Delhi, Chennai, and Tezpur besides several other Statistical Quality Control & Operation Research Units spread across India. A. V. Rama Rao Indian chemist

Alla Venkata Rama Rao is an Indian inventor and chemist, known for his pioneering researches in the field of drug technology. He is the founder of the A. V. Rama Rao Research Foundation, a non governmental organization promoting research and doctoral studies in chemistry and Avra Laboratories, an organization dealing in intermediates and active pharmaceutical ingredients, used in therapeutics. Sudhir Kumar Sopory is an Indian educationist, plant physiologist, scientist and former vice chancellor of Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. He is known to be the first to purify a protein kinase C activity from plants and is credited with the identification of topoisomerase as a substrate of protein kinase C.
