Kudunuru is a small village in Cherla mandal of Khammam district in Andhra Pradesh. The Godavari river is very near to the village.

Launched on 24 June 1939, she was commissioned on 12 August and assigned to the 7th U-Boat Flotilla under the command of Kurt von Goßler.
