Kutty Padmini is an Indian actress who mainly works in Tamil cinema. She was a child star in her debut movie Abalai Anjugam (1959). She has also acted in Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi movies. She made her debut in Tamil cinema at the age of 3. She has acted with prominent personalities of Tamil cinema, including Sivaji Ganesan, M. G. Ramachandran, Gemini Ganesan, Jaishankar, Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan. She was the first female artist from Tamil Nadu to win the National Film Award for Best Child Artist for the movie Kuzhandaiyum Deivamum . [2]

Kutty Padmini also established herself as supporting actress in movies such as Penmani Aval Kanmani , Aval Appadithan , Avargal , Sakalakala Sammandhi etc.., She made a foray into TV serials productions through her Vaishnavi Films Enterprises Limited and produced many of the finest works of the day, including Krishnadasi (2016 TV series) (Hindi remake of the Tamil TV series of the same name ), Romapuri Pandian and Ramanujar . Kutty Padmini is also the executive member in Nadigar Sangam, [4] one of the directors in Blue Ocean Films and Television Academy, [5] managing director of Kreeda Sports Foundation and Brand owner of Kreeda Cup, an initiative by Kreeda Sports foundation to support young athletes. [6] [7] [8]

Career

Padmini entered filmdom at the age of 3 months. She went on to act in many movies as child artist. However, her notable film role was in the 1965 Tamil film Kuzhandaiyum Deivamum along with Jaishankar and Jamuna, where she played dual roles. She received the National Film Award for Best Child Artist for her performance and she is the first person from Tamil Nadu to have received this award since its inception. This film was subsequently remade in Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi and she was felicitated for her role by both Kannada and Andhra state governments. [9] She was also acted in various movies such as Pasamalar , Navarathri , Leta Manasulu , Odayil Ninnu , etc.., She stunned everyone with her performance in the movie Thiruvarutchelvar as a young girl "Ponni", who answered the King's three questions and also in Thirumal Perumai as young Andal, which was widely appreciated. Kutty Padmini joined BJP in the presence of party president Nitin Gadkari in February 2011. [1]

After starring in numerous Malayalam films in her mother-tongue, Sujatha later got introduced to the Tamil film industry by veteran director K. Balachander and producer P.R. Govindarajan as a protagonist in her first Tamil film, Aval Oru Thodar Kathai (1974). It was a critically acclaimed film and launched the actress's first commecrical breakthrough in her acting career. Padmini Ramachandran was an Indian actress and trained Bharatanatyam dancer, who acted in over 250 Indian films. She acted in Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, Telugu and Russian language films. Padmini, with her elder sister Lalitha and her younger sister Ragini, were called the "Travancore sisters".

The Nadigar Sangam, officially known as the South Indian Artistes' Association, is a union for film, television, and stage actors in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu, based in Chennai. Formed in 1952, the group has a charitable trust fund to provide pensions to retired actors, voice support for actors caught in controversy, and have collectively protested socio-political issues.

He began Silambam when he was 6 years old. In the middle of 1978, he was given the name Jaguar Thangam by a Malayalam director Mr. Chandrakumar. Following his debut in Chandrakumar's Hindi drama Meena Bazzar (1978) as a stunt coordinator, his stunt career commenced with a brief phase of stunt sequences in nationwide film industry.
