Redcliff is a town situated in the Midlands Province of Zimbabwe, with a population of 41,526. It lies about 219 km (136 mi) north-east of Bulawayo.
Kwekwe, originally known as Que Que, is a city in the Midlands province of central Zimbabwe. The city has a population of 119,863 within the city limits, as of the 2022 census, making it the 7th-largest city in Zimbabwe and the second-most populous city in the Midlands, behind Gweru.

Marist Brothers Secondary School, Dete (MBSS), otherwise referred to as 'Marist Dete' is a co-educational (mixed) boarding secondary school Dete, in the Hwange district of Zimbabwe’s Matabeleland North Province. The school was established in 1972 and is part of the international family of Marist schools run by the Marist Brothers, a Catholic society founded in 1817 by Saint Marcellin Champagnat in France.
Munyati is an estate in Midlands province in Zimbabwe owned by the Zimbabwe Power Company. It is located about 29 km (18 mi) north of Kwekwe on the main Harare-Bulawayo road, which was about 5 km (3.1 mi) away from the village center. In 1938, a coal-fired power station was built in the area and the village was established to house the personnel. It also has a few shops for regular shopping, a primary and secondary (high) school and a football team called Tigers. Gold, copper, stibnite and tungsten are mined in the area. Munyati happens to be the name of a river in this region.

Amaveni Township is a high density suburb in Kwekwe, Zimbabwe. It is about 5 kilometres (3 mi) west of the city's central business district. The township's name of 'Amaveni' according to one of its first residents, the late Jonas Macela Nkomo (1908–2002), was derived from a Ndebele army's battalion that was called by the same name. The battalion fought during the 1893 Anglo-Ndebele war in Matebeleland region of Zimbabwe.

Peter William Hewlett is a Zimbabwean farmer and politician who served as a member of Parliament in the House of Assembly from 1990 to 2000. A member of ZANU–PF, he represented the Zhombe and Kwekwe North constituencies.
