Lady Fernanda Mina Lastra (born 1987 in Guayaquil, Guayas, Ecuador) is a beauty pageant title holder who won the Miss Ecuador 2010. [1]
Guayaquil, officially Santiago de Guayaquil is the second largest city in Ecuador, with 2,578,201 people in its metropolitan area. It is also the nation's main port. The city is the capital of Guayas Province and the seat of Guayaquil canton.

Lady Mina, from Guayaquil, was a student of Journalism in the University of Guayaquil during the time of the competition. She is also the third Afro-Ecuadorian woman to be crowned Miss Ecuador. [2] Miss Ecuador 2010 was broadcast live from CEMEXPO, in Quito. During the event Mina received high scores from the judges in the areas of competition, [3] although Ana Galarza, of Tungurahua and Andrea Suárez of Loja, were the favorites to win the crown. Mina also received the highest scores during the Swimsuit and Evening Gown Competition. [4] Mina won because of the final question. [5]
Ana Mercedes Galarza Añazco (born September 23, 1989 in Ambato, Tungurahua, Ecuador is a beauty pageant titleholder who was first runner-up in Miss Ecuador 2010.
Tungurahua is one of the twenty-four provinces of Ecuador. Its capital is Ambato. The province takes its name from the Tungurahua volcano, which is located within the boundaries of the provinces.
Loja Province is one of 24 provinces in Ecuador and shares its southern border on the west by El Oro Province, on the north by El Azuay, and on the east by Zamora-Chinchipe. Founded on its present site in 1548 by Captain Alonso de Mercadillo (Spanish), the site had been previously moved and rebuilt from La Toma due to earthquakes. Ximena Navarrete of Mexico was crowned by Stefanía Fernández of Venezuela as her successor at the end of the event. 83 contestants from around the world competed in this year.

At the end of the pageant Mary Jean Lastimosa crowned Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach as Miss Universe Philippines 2015 while Bianca Guidotti crowned Janicel Jaranilla Lubina as Binibining Pilipinas International 2015. Miss Ecuador 2017, the 64th Miss Ecuador pageant, was held on April 22, 2017 in Babahoyo, Los Ríos. Connie Jiménez, Miss Ecuador 2016 from Los Ríos crowned her successor Daniela Cepeda from Guayas at the end of the event. The winner represented Ecuador at Miss Universe 2017.
