Lake Junaluska is a census-designated place (CDP) in Haywood County, North Carolina, United States, and an artificial lake in the Blue Ridge Mountains. It is part of the Asheville Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Junaluska, was a leader of Cherokee who resided in towns in western North Carolina in the early 19th century. He fought alongside Andrew Jackson at the Battle of Horseshoe Bend during the War of 1812/Creek War. In the course of the battle he saved Jackson's life, an act he reportedly regretted later in life.
The Sir Walter Hotel is the oldest surviving hotel building in Raleigh, North Carolina. Constructed between 1923 and 1924 on Fayetteville Street and named after Sir Walter Raleigh, the hotel was nicknamed North Carolina's "third house of government", due to its location and being a focal point for state political activity until the 1960s.

North Eaglenest Mountain is a mountain located less than 2 miles (3.2 km) south of Maggie Valley, North Carolina, US, in Haywood County. It is part of the Plott Balsams, a range of the Appalachian Mountains, and less than a mile north of Eaglenest Mountain. It used to be called Mount Junaluska and is the highest mountain overlooking Lake Junaluska from the west.
The Fairfield Inn was an historic hotel building located on Fairfield Lake near US Highway 64 in Cashiers, Jackson County, North Carolina. It was built in 1896-1898, and consisted of a 2 1/2-story main block with two rear wings. The Queen Anne style frame building featured three massive singled gables, hipped dormers, a three-story corner turret, elliptical windows, and a one-story lakeside verandah. The hotel had 100 rooms.
The First Colony Inn, also known as LeRoy's Seaside Inn, First Colony Motor Inn, First Colony Apartments, and Colony Beach Inn, is a historic hotel building located at Nags Head, Dare County, North Carolina. It was designed by Willis Leigh and built by Frank Benton It first opened in 1932 as LeRoy's Seaside Inn, by Henry LeRoy of Elizabeth City, North Carolina. The inn is a 2+1⁄2-story, balloon-frame building in the vernacular Shingle Style. The building is divided into three equal sections separated by open breezeways and arranged in an H-shaped configuration. Surrounding the building is a two-story engaged verandah.
Market Square is a furniture showroom complex in High Point, North Carolina, owned by International Market Centers which is the largest building in North Carolina on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP), and the sixth largest in the United States. Known also as Tomlinson Chair Manufacturing Company Complex, it was listed on the NRHP under that name. The former manufacturing complex includes the oldest factory building in the city, and its renovation has been credited with making High Point a successful furniture exhibition center. A 16-story addition in 1990 is one of the city's tallest buildings.
The Holderness Inn is a former 19th century hotel building on United States Route 3 in Holderness, New Hampshire. Built in 1895–96, it is the only such building standing in the Squam Lake area, from a period when there were a significant number of resort hotels around the lake. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. It is now owned by the Squam Lakes Natural Science Center, and is open seasonally as an art gallery and craft showroom.
The Hotel Edwards was a historic hotel building at Main and 4th Streets in Highlands, North Carolina. The main block of the hotel, a three-story brick structure, was built in 1935. It was attached to a c. 1880 2+1⁄2-story wood-frame structure, which was operated for many years as a boarding house or hostelry, and is now the historic main inn for Old Edwards Inn and Spa. The brick block was designed by Linton H. Young, and was built after the construction of the Highlands Country Club brought an influx of summer visitors to the area. The property was operated as a hotel by the Edwards family from 1914 to 1970 and is now owned by Art and Angela Williams of Palm Beach, FL..
The Highlands Inn is a historic hotel at the corner of 4th and Main Streets in Highlands, North Carolina. The main block of the hotel is a three-story late Victorian structure built in 1880, with a two-story porch across the main facade. Over the course of the 20th century a number of alterations and additions have been made to this structure, to increase services and rooms. It is one of the oldest continuously operating hotels in the highlands of western North Carolina.
Shackford Hall is a historic educational facility located at Lake Junaluska, Haywood County, North Carolina. It was built in 1923, and is a large two-story, Classic Revival style building constructed of river rock and heavy timber. It has a T-shaped plan with cross gable roof and features a massive pedimented portico with six two-story Ionic order columns. It stands as one of the iconic structures in the Lake Junaluska Assembly.
Aloah Hotel, also known as The Hendersonville Inn, Carson Hotel, and the Inn on Church, is a historic hotel building located at Hendersonville, Henderson County, North Carolina. It was built in 1919, and is a three-story, rectangular brick building with Classical Revival style design elements. The front facade features a hipped roof porch with paired square posts and a plain wooden balustrade.
The Waverly, also known as the Anderson Boarding House, is a historic hotel building located at Hendersonville, Henderson County, North Carolina. It was built about 1898, and is a three-story, Queen Anne style frame building. It features a two-tiered sawnwork-trimmed porch and widow's walk. The building was expanded to three stories following a fire about 1910. A one-story frame wing was added about 1940.
Chewning House, also known as the McCurry Hotel, Charleston Boarding House, and Claddagh Inn, is a historic hotel building located at Hendersonville, Henderson County, North Carolina. The house was built before 1906, and enlarged between 1912 and 1922 from a two-story building to the present three-story building with Classical Revival style design elements. It features a one-story hip roofed wraparound porch.
