[2] The seat is currently represented by Alex Sobel of the Labour Party, who served as MP for Leeds North West from 2017 to 2024.

Selby is a parliamentary constituency in North Yorkshire, represented in the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. It elects one Member of Parliament (MP) by the first past the post system of election. The constituency existed from 1983 to 2010 prior to reformation in 2024. It is currently held by Kier Mather of the Labour Party, who was first elected as an MP for the predecessor seat of Selby and Ainsty at a byelection in July 2023.
