In 2009, the school district was rated "recognized" by the Texas Education Agency. [1] The school's mascot is the Tiger and the colors are Blue and Gold. Their mascot's name is Paws.

It was opened with grades 9 to 11 for the 2008–2009 school year, adding students in grade 12 the following year.
