Lesotho competed at the 2019 African Games held from 19 to 31 August 2019 in Rabat, Morocco. In total, 27 athletes represented the country in seven sports. They won one silver medal and the country finished 34th in the medal table.

Mosito Lehata and Phomolo Lekhoana competed in the men's 100 metres and men's 200 metres events.
Mamakoli Senauoane competed in the women's 400 metres event. She did not qualify to compete in the semifinals.
Tsepang Sello competed in the women's 800 metres event. She was also scheduled to compete in the women's 1500 metres event but she did not start.
Mokulubete Makatisi was scheduled to compete in the women's 1500 metres event but she did not start.
Lerato Sechele competed in the women's triple jump event. She finished in 5th place. She was also scheduled to compete in the women's long jump but she did not start.
Jobo Khatoane was scheduled to compete in the men's half marathon event but he did not start. [2]
Toka Badboy was scheduled to compete in the men's 10,000 metres event but he did not start. [3]
Tlholohelo Mokhesi, Moroke Mokhotho, Qhobosheane Mohlerepe, Mokhachane Moshoeshoe and Arena Pakela competed in boxing.
Teboho Khantsi competed in the Men's individual time trial road cycling event. [4] He finished in 37th place out of 40 competitors with a time of 1:00:14.106. [5]
Tumelo Makae and Phetetso Monese competed in the Men's Cross-country and Men's Cross-country marathon events.
Michelle Tau, Tebello Mootisa, Rethabile Tjotjo, Marumo Moloisane, Ramosoeu Nkuebe and Lemohang Mokhobo competed in Taekwondo. Michelle Tau won the bronze medal in the Women's -46 kg event. [6]
Nyathi Motloyoa and Mpaleng Sempe competed in tennis in the men's singles and men's doubles events.
Thapelo Sebota, Makoena Tsosane and Machachamise Ntsinyi competed in weightlifting.
Lesotho competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, which was held from 27 July to 12 August 2012. The country's participation at London marked its tenth appearance in the Summer Olympics since its début at the 1972 Summer Olympics. The delegation included three track and field athletes; Tsepo Ramonene, Mosito Lehata and Mamorallo Tjoka, and one swimmer; Masempe Theko. Ramonene and Lehata qualified for the Games by meeting qualification standards, while Tjoka and Theko made the Olympics through wildcard places. Tjoka was selected as the flag bearer for the opening ceremony while Lehata held it at the closing ceremony. Ramonene finished last in the men's marathon and was revived by medical personnel during the event. Lehata did not progress to the semi-finals of the men's 200 metres and Tjoka finished in 90th in the women's marathon. Theko finished 73rd overall in the women's 50 metre freestyle and did not progress to the semi-finals of the event.
Jobo Khatoane is a professional Mosotho long-distance runner. He was selected to compete in the marathon at the 2012 London Olympics but had to withdraw before the race due to a pelvis injury.
Lesotho sent a delegation to compete at the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 7 to 18 September 2016. This was the fifth time the country competed in the Summer Paralympic Games after it made its debut sixteen years prior at the 2000 Sydney Paralympics. The delegation to Rio de Janeiro consisted of two athletes: sprinter Sello Mothebe and discus thrower Litsitso Khotele. Mothebe originally came third in the heats of the men's 200 metres T12 and the men's 400 metres T12 events but he was retroactively disqualified for testing positive for a banned substance. Khotele ranked tenth in the women's discus throw F43–44 competition with a throw of 19.91 metres.
Kenya competed at the 2019 African Games held from 19 to 31 August 2019 in Rabat, Morocco. In total, 290 athletes were scheduled to represent Kenya at 12th edition of the African Games. This later dropped to 259 athletes. Athletes representing Kenya won 11 gold medals, 10 silver medals and 10 bronze medals and the country finished 7th in the medal table.
