Ghana competed at the 2019 African Games held from 19 to 31 August 2019 in Rabat, Morocco. [2] [3] Ghana competed in 14 sports. [1] Ghana's participation was made possible by financial support from the Ghanaian government. [4] In total, athletes representing Ghana won two gold medals, two silver medals and nine bronze medals and the country finished in 15th place in the medal table.

Ghana competed in athletics. [3] [5] The following male athletes competed: Sean Safo-Antwi, Benjamin Azamati, Edwin Gadayi, Joseph Paul Amoah, Martin Owusu Antwi, Jeff Hammond and Abubakar Mohammed. [6] The following female athletes competed: Hor Halutie, Flings Owusu Agyapong, Gemima Acheampong, Persis William-Mensah, Regina Yeboah, Grace Obour, Deborah Acquah, Rose Yeboah and Abigail Kwarteng. This was the nation's fourteenth appearance at the Summer Olympics, having taken part in all but three editions since its debut at the 1952 Summer Olympics. Ghana did not attend the 1976 Olympics because of the African boycott and did not attend the 1980 Olympics because of the United States boycott.

Deborah Acquah is a Ghanaian Long jumper. She has competed at world championships, most recently at the 2019 African Games in Rabat, Morocco. She is the current holder of Ghana's indoor long and triple jump records.
Martin Owusu-Antwi is a Ghanaian sprinter specializing in the 100 meters and 200 meters. He gained his first international experience in the 2015 Summer Universiade in Gwangju and also in the Ghana 4 x 100 meters relay. He also took part in the 2018 Commonwealth Games in the Australian Gold Coast running in the 200 meter race. He then went on to participate for the first time in the African Games in Rabat where he reached the semifinals and won his first Gold medal in the Men's 4 × 100 metres relay.
