Liam Schluter (born 11 January 1999) is an Australian Paralympic swimmer with an intellectual disability. He represented Australia at the 2016 Rio Paralympics and the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics. [1] [2]
Schluter was born on 11 January 1999. [3] He works at as groundsman at the Kawana Waters Aquatic Centre. [3]
Schluter took up swimming at the age of 10. [4] At the 2015, INAS Global Games, he won gold medals in the Men's 400m Freestyle and Men's 1500m Freestyle and silver medals in Men's 4 × 100 m Freestyle Relay and 4 × 200 m Freestyle Relay. [3] [4] After the Global Games, he shifted focus to shorter swimming events due to the Rio Paralympics program. [3] At the 2016 Australian Swimming Championships, he competed in eight events and won the gold medal in the Men's 400m freestyle, silver in the Men's 200m freestyle and Men's 4x50m freestyle relay. [3]
Schluter competed at the 2016 Rio Paralympics in four events and progressed to the finals in two events. He placed seventh in the Men's 200m Individual Medley SM14 and fifth in Men's 200m Freestyle S14. He also competed in Men's 100m Breaststroke SB14 and Men's 100m Backstroke S14 but didn't progress to the finals. [5]
At the 2018 Commonwealth Games, Gold Coast, he won the silver medal in the Men's 200m Freestyle S14. [6]
At the 2019 World Para Swimming Championships, London, he won the bronze medal in the Mixed 4 × 100 m Freestyle Relay (S14) and made three other finals. [6]
At the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics, he swam in three events and made one final, finishing fourth in the Men's 200 m freestyle S14. [7] He did not advance from the 100 m butterfly S14 or the 200 m individual medley SM14 heats.
At the 2022 Commonwealth Games, he finished 8th in the 200 m freestyle S14. [8]

Brenden Hall, is an Australian Paralympic swimmer who won two gold medals at the 2012 Summer Paralympics in London. He represented Australia at the 2016 Rio Paralympics where he won one gold, one silver and one bronze medal. He competed at 2020 Summer Paralympics, his fourth games.

Daniel Fox is an Australian Paralympic swimmer. He won a silver medal at the 2012 Summer Paralympics and gold medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games. He represented Australia at the 2016 Rio Paralympics being awarded a bronze most recently in the 200m Freestyle S14. He has won gold at the Global Games, the Arafura Games, World Championships, Can-Am Championships, Para Pan Pacific Championships, EnergyAustralia Championships and the Commonwealth Games. Daniel also holds the world record for the 50m freestyle (24.77) and the 100m freestyle record (53.50) in the S14 classification. Daniel Fox is also the Australian ambassador for the INAS Global Games in 2019.
Bethany Charlotte Firth, is a Northern Irish Paralympic swimmer. Since 2014 she has competed for Great Britain; previously, Firth had represented Ireland. A six time Paralympic gold medalist, she has won gold in her specialist event - the 100 metres backstroke - for both Ireland at the 2012 Summer Paralympics and Great Britain at the 2016 and 2020 Summer Paralympics. These were in addition to the Mixed 4 x 100 metres freestyle relay S14 at the 2020 Games, and 200 metres medley and 200 metres freestyle for Great Britain at the 2016 Games, where she was the nation's most successful Paralympian with three golds and a silver medal. She competes in the S14 classification for athletes with an intellectual impairment.
Jessica-Jane Applegate MBE is a British Paralympic swimmer. Applegate competes in the S14 classification for swimmers with intellectual disabilities, mainly freestyle and backstroke preferring shorter distances. She qualified for the 2012 Summer Paralympics and on 2 September, Applegate won the gold setting a Paralympic record in the S14 200m freestyle.
Thomas Hamer is an English British swimmer. Hamer is Commonwealth, European & World Champion. He has held Previous World Records in the 200m freestyle event and has held many British records in other swimming strokes. Hamer competes mainly in freestyle and individual medley preferring shorter distances. His first international competition was in 2014 Commonwealth Games Glasgow and took a silver medal in the 200m freestyle at 15 years of age.
