Braedan Jason (born 15 May 1998) is an Australian Paralympic swimmer. [1] He represented Australia at the 2016 Rio Paralympics and the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics. [2] [3]
Jason was born on 15 May 1998 in Cronulla, New South Wales. [4] [5] He is the second oldest of four boys. [6] He was born with cone dystrophy resulting in him having ten percent vision and being classed as being legally blind. [6] His brother Nathan also has the same condition. [6] He has attended St Joseph's College, Nudgee in Queensland. [6] [7]
Jason began swimming at the age of eight. [1] He started as a nipper at North Cronulla Surf Life Saving Club. [4] He continued his surf life-saving at Alexandra Headlands Club. In 2015, he finished ninth-place finish in a field of 15 at the 2015 Australian Surf Life Saving Championships. He is also a pool swimmer. In 2012, he won the silver medal at the age national swimming championships. [1] [8] In April 2015, Jason competed at the Australian Swimming Championships where the able-bodied and the Paralympic teams were combined. [6] He then went on to compete at the 2015 IPC Swimming World Championships where he came fifth in the Men's 50m and 400m freestyle S13 and sixth in Men's 100m Freestyle S13 and seventh in the Men's 100m Butterfly S13. Jason competed at the 2016 Rio Paralympics in four events. He placed sixth in Men's 50m Freestyle S13, seventh in Men's 100m Freestyle S14, fifth in Men's 400m Freestyle S13 and seventh in Men's 100m Butterfly S13. [9]
At the 2019 World Para Swimming Championships in London, he swam in five events and his best placing was fourth in the Men's 400m Freestyle (S13) and broke Oceania records in Men's 100m Butterfly (S12) and Men's 100m Freestyle (S12).
At the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics, he finished fourth in the Men's 400 m freestyle S13, fifth in the Men's 100 m freestyle S12, and sixth in the Men's 100 m butterfly S12. [10]
At the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games, he finished 4th in the Men's 50 m Freestyle S13. [11] [12]
He was coached by Jan Cameron at the University of the Sunshine Coast in Sippy Downs, Queensland. Since 2021, he has been coached by Nathan Doyle. [1]
Jessica Tatiana Long is a Russian-American Paralympic swimmer from Baltimore, Maryland, who competes in the S8, SB7 and SM8 category events. She has held many world records and competed at five Paralympic Games, winning 30 medals. She has won over 50 world championship medals.
Brenden Hall, is an Australian Paralympic swimmer who won two gold medals at the 2012 Summer Paralympics in London. At the 2016 Rio Paralympics, he won one gold, one silver and one bronze medal. He was selected to compete at the 2024 Summer Paralympics, his fifth games, where he won a bronze medal.
Prue Watt, is a Paralympic swimming gold medalist from Australia. She has represented Australia at the four Paralympics from 2004 to 2016.
Teigan Van Roosmalen is an Australian Paralympic S13 swimmer. She has Usher Syndrome type 1 legally blind and Profoundly deaf. She had a swimming scholarship from the Australian Institute of Sport 2009-2012. Her events are the 100 m breaststroke, 200 m individual medley, 50 m and 100 m freestyle. She competed at the 2011 Para Pan Pacific Championships in Edmonton, where she won a gold medal in the S13 400 freestyle event. She competed at the 2008 Summer and 2012 Summer Paralympics.
Timothy Antalfy is an Australian Paralympic swimmer. He represented Australia at the 2012 Summer Paralympics in swimming and won a bronze medal.
Sean Russo is an Australian swimmer. He represented Australia at the 2012 London and 2016 Rio Paralympics.
Hannah Russell, is a British Paralympic swimmer competing in S12 classification events. In 2012, she became British S12 champion in the 100m backstroke and qualified for the 2012 Summer Paralympic Games where she won a silver in the 400m freestyle and a bronze in the 100m butterfly. In the 2016 Summer Paralympic Games, she won the gold medal in the 100m backstroke with the time of 1:06:06 earning her the World Record.

Timothy Malcolm Disken, is an Australian paralympic swimmer. He represented Australia at the 2015 IPC Swimming World Championships and won bronze in the men's 4 × 100 m freestyle relay. At the 2016 Rio Paralympics, he won a gold medal in the men's 100m freestyle S9, a silver medal in the men's S9 50m freestyle and a bronze medal in the men's 200m individual medley SM9. He also competed at the 2020 Summer Paralympics.

The 2016 IPC Swimming European Championships was an international swimming competition. It was held in Funchal, Madeira running from 30 April to 7 May. Around 450 athletes from 50 different countries attended the competition. This was the last major swimming tournament for disabled athletes prior to the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio, and acted as a qualifying event for the Rio Games. To increase the possibility of qualification for top swimmers, the championships was made an Open tournament allowing competitors from countries outside Europe to compete.
Joshua Alford is an Australian Paralympic swimmer. He competed in the 2014 Commonwealth Games, placing sixth in the S14 200m Freestyle final. Alford represented Australia at the 2016 Rio Paralympics after a strong performance at the 2016 Australian Swimming Championships.

Rebecca Meyers is an American Paralympic swimmer. She won three gold and one silver medals in Rio 2016. She was also a member of the 2012 Paralympic Team, and won a silver and bronze in London. Rebecca Meyers has also competed at the 2009 Summer Deaflympics which was held in Taiwan, which is also her only appearance at the Deaflympics. She also clinched a bronze medal in the 4 × 200 m freestyle relay event in the 2009 Summer Deaflympics.
