This is a list of English football transfers for the 2010 summer transfer window. Only moves featuring at least one Premier League or Championship club are listed.
The summer transfer window began once clubs had concluded their final domestic fixture of the 2009–10 season (only for teams in the same association e.g. FA or SFA), but many transfers will only officially go through on 1 July because the majority of the contracts finish on 30 June. The window remained open until 18:00 BST on 31 August 2010. Transfers between English and foreign clubs may only be made from 9 June 2010 onward. [1]
Players without a club may join one at any time, either during or in between transfer windows. Clubs outside the Premier League may also sign players on loan at any time. If need be, clubs may sign a goalkeeper on an emergency loan, if all others are unavailable.

The 2004–05 season was Swansea City Association Football Club's 27th season in the newly formed Football League Two, and their 76th in English football. Alan Curtis had left the club early before the season's start, with Kenny Jackett replacing him. Swansea City gained promotion by finishing in third place. In the cup competitions, they reached the third round of the FA Cup, having defeated Cheltenham Town and Stockport County, before losing 2–1 on aggregate against Reading. A 3–0 loss against Queens Park Rangers saw Swansea exit in the first round of the League Cup. They were eliminated in the second round of the Football League Trophy, but reached the final in the FAW Premier Cup, beating Wrexham 2–1.
The 2014–15 season was Cardiff City Football Club's 98th season playing professional football and the 87th in the Football League. Cardiff were relegated from the Premier League during the last season, meaning an instant return to the Championship, the second tier in English football. Also during this season, it was announced that the club would revert back to blue home kits with the red being made the away kit. The first home game back in blue was a 1-0 victory over Fulham on January 10, 2015.
