Kelantan Football Association (Malay: Persatuan Bola Sepak Kelantan), is a professional football association based in Kota Bharu in the Malaysian state of Kelantan. The team had their first major success in the 2012 season when they won the League championship, Piala FA and Piala Malaysia. Domestically, Kelantan have won the Liga Super Championship on 2 occasions, most recently in the 2012 season, 2 Piala Malaysia, 2 Piala FA, 1 Piala Sumbangsih and 1 Liga Premier title. [1] 2012 was their debut playing in the AFC Cup. They played well in the group stage to gain first place. However, the team lost in the quarter final to Erbil SC. [2] Kelantan FA were the only team which won the Piala Emas Raja-Raja for the thirteen times.

Contents

Kelantan team became a symbol of unity of the people of Kelantan. It can be seen during the match when various background Kelantan fans come to the stadium to support their team. Kelantan team revival began when Annuar Musa took over the president post during 2009 season. Since then, Kelantan team has become among the respected team in the Malaysian football.

    The Football Association of Malaysia is the national governing body of football in Malaysia responsible for organising the Malaysia national football team within the country. The Football Association of Malaysia headquarters is located at Wisma FAM.

    Akmal Rizal Bin Ahmad Rakhli is a former Malaysian professional footballer who played as a forward. He is well known for his finishing ability and good technique. Apart from that, he is one of the batch of Malaysians to play overseas. He is the current head coach of Penang (U-21).

    Muhamad Khalid bin Jamlus is a retired Malaysian footballer. He is a former member of the Malaysian national team and also has played for the Pre-Olympic squad. In 2002, he went on trial with Eintracht Frankfurt. He is widely regarded as one of the best striker of Perak FA and was the club's all-time top goalscorer.

    Mohd. Amri bin Yahyah, nicknamed "Wak Am" is a Malaysian professional footballer who plays for Sabah. He has also represented the Malaysian national team. Amri plays mainly as a forward but can also play as an attacking midfielder or as a winger.

    Nanthakumar Kaliappan or better known as K. Nanthakumar is a former Malaysian footballer. He played as a defensive midfielder. He was a member of the Malaysian national team. He is now currently a fitness coach for MISC-MIFA

    Mohd Badhri bin Mohd Radzi, P.S. is a Malaysian professional footballer who plays for Malaysian team Kelantan United and the Malaysia national team. Well known as Piya, Badhri is usually deployed as a central midfielder, but can also play as attacking midfielder and he is widely regarded as one of the greatest ever exponents of this position, due to his vision, ball control, creativity and passing ability, he is also a free-kick specialist. He also is the former captain of Kelantan. Badhri is Kelantan's most successful captain, having led them won two consecutive league titles and several domestic cups. He also was the captain of his team when they won all three major cups during 2012 season. Apart from that, he also led the team until last quarter in debut Kelantan during 2012 AFC Cup.

    Zairul Fitree Bin Ishak is a Malaysian professional footballer who plays as a left back. He is able to perform accurate cross from the left field and prefers to use his left foot which can score goals through dead ball situations.

    Mohammad Ab Aziz bin Ismail is a Malaysian professional footballer who plays as a left back.

    The 2012 season was Kelantan's 4th season in the Malaysia Super League. Kelantan were defending Malaysia Super League champions and aimed for 2nd league title this season. Furthermore, they were competing in the AFC Cup for the first time. In addition, they were also competing in the domestic tournaments, the FA Cup and the Malaysia Cup.

    Muhammad Afiq bin Azmi is a Malaysian footballer who last plays as a forward for Penang in the Malaysia Premier League. He previously plays for KSK Tambun Tulang, Kuala Lumpur and Kelantan. He also represented Perlis state in Sukma Games XV edition in Pahang.

    The 2013 season was Kelantan's 5th season in the Malaysia Super League. They were defending Malaysia Super League champions and aimed for 3rd league title this season. Furthermore, they were competing in the AFC Cup for the second consecutive seasons. In addition, they were competing in the domestic tournaments, the FA Cup and the Malaysia Cup as the last season's runners-up and defending champion respectively.

    Mohd Khairul Izuan bin Rosli is a Malaysian professional footballer who plays for Malaysia Super League club UiTM. Khairul Izuan mainly plays as an attacking midfielder but can also play as a second striker or as a right winger.

    The 2014 season was Kelantan FA's 6th season in the Malaysia Super League and 19th successive season in the top flight of Malaysian football league system.
