Buffalo Park is a sports ground in East London, Eastern Cape, South Africa, it has a capacity of 20,000. . The ground has been host to a single Test cricket match in 2002 when South Africa played Bangladesh. [1] The ground has been hosted 21 One Day Internationals, where the first ODI staged in 1998 between South Africa and India. [2] The ground hosted first staged to Twenty20 Internationals when South Africa played against New Zealand in 2012. [3]

South African Graeme Smith became the first man to score a Test century at Diamond Oval when he made 200 against Bangladesh in 2002. It still stands as the highest score seen at the ground. Overall, only two Test centuries have been scored at the ground. [4]

Eight ODI centuries have been scored at Diamond Oval, the first by Pakistani batsman Javed Miandad who scored 107 from 144 deliveries, against South Africa in 1993. The highest score achieved at the ground is 150 made by West Indian Shivnarine Chanderpaul against South Africa in 1999. [5]

The only Twenty20 International century at the venue was achieved by New Zealand opener Martin Guptill against South Africa in 2012, when he made an unbeaten 101 in 69 deliveries. [6]
