The Loeriesfontein Wind Energy Facility is a wind farm in the Hantam Municipality, located near Loeriesfontein, in the Northern Cape province of South Africa. Construction began in September 2015 and all the turbines were in place by 28 February 2017. The 140MW Loeriesfontein Wind Farm has a capacity of 535,354 MWh/year. [1]

The project cost R2.7 billion and was brought online in early September 2015. At the time of its completion it was the largest wind-farm in the Western Cape. It is capable of powering 200 000 households per year or 400 gigawatt hours of electricity. It is estimated that power generated from Gouda Wind Farm will avoid the emission of 406 million metric tons of CO2 per year of equivalent power produced from a coal fired power plant. It is owned in partnership between the South African renewable energy and engineering firm Aveng and Spanish renewable energy company Acciona Energia.

Kodeni Solar Power Station, is a 38 MW (51,000 hp) solar power plant, under construction in Burkina Faso. The solar farm is under development by the French IPP, Africa Ren, with funding from European financial institutions, led by FMO Entrepreneurial Development Bank of the Netherlands. Société Nationale d'électricité du Burkina Faso (SONABEL), the state-owned electricity utility company has signed a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA), with Koden Solar SASU, the special purpose vehicle company established by the owners to own, develop, operate and maintain the solar farm.
