Makes Me Sick is the ninth studio album by American rock band New Found Glory. It was released on April 28, 2017, through Hopeless Records. [4]
In October 2016, Alternative Press reported that the group were working on a new album. [5]
The band sent out cryptic messages teasing the album and on January 25, 2017, Makes Me Sick was announced for release in April. [6] The lead single, "Happy Being Miserable", was released on February 16. [7] The music video, filmed in January, [6] was directed by Max Moore and is a recreation of a famous scene from the film Stand by Me . [8] Between March and May, the group went on an anniversary tour to celebrate 20 years of being a band. On the tour, the group performed material from their 1999–2009 albums, [9] as well as "Happy Being Miserable". Gilbert said tour would be "making people aware" of their new album and that for their "future tours we will jam more" songs from the album. [10] On April 14, "Party on Apocalypse" was made available for streaming. [11] A music video was released for it, directed by Moore. [12] Makes Me Sick was released on April 28 through Hopeless Records. [6] In September, the band performed at Riot Fest. [13]
On September 7, a music video was released for "The Sound of Two Voices", directed by Moore. [14] On December 1, a music video was released for "20 Years from Now", an outtake from the Makes Me Sick sessions. The clip consisted of footage from the previous 20 years of the group's existence. [15] Additionally, the track was also released as a single. [16] In May and June, the band embarked on the Sick Tour in the US, with support from Bayside, the Movielife and former Yellowcard frontman William Ryan Key. [17] On May 17, a music video was released for "Call Me Anti-Social", directed by Moore. [18] The album was re-released as a deluxe edition, Makes Me Sick Again, on May 18, 2018. On June 11, a music video was released for "Heaven Sent", directed by Paris Visone. [19] Later in the month, the band headlining their own festival, BreakFest. [20] In early August, the band performed on the 2018 Warped Tour. [21] On August 15, a music video was released for "Barbed Wire", directed by Visone. [22]

Makes Me Sick received mostly positive reviews from music critics. At Metacritic, which assigns a normalized rating out of 100 to reviews from mainstream critics, the album has an average score of 67 based on 5 reviews, indicating "generally favorable reviews". [23] Neil Z. Yeung of AllMusic stated that the album is for "diehards who have grown with the band over the decades, this softer and more buoyant sound should be a welcome maturation." [24]

New Found Glory is an American rock band from Coral Springs, Florida, formed in 1997. The band currently consists of Jordan Pundik, Ian Grushka, Chad Gilbert, and Cyrus Bolooki (drums). Longtime rhythm guitarist and lyricist Steve Klein left the band in late 2013. During their lengthy recording career, the band have released ten studio albums, one live album, two EPs, and four cover albums.
Bayside is an American punk rock band from the Bayside, Queens neighborhood of New York City, formed in 2000 by lead vocalist Anthony Raneri. The group also consists of lead guitarist Jack O'Shea, bassist Nick Ghanbarian, and drummer Chris Guglielmo.
All Time Low is an American rock band from Towson, Maryland, formed in 2003. Consisting of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Alex Gaskarth, lead guitarist Jack Barakat, bassist/backing vocalist Zack Merrick, and drummer Rian Dawson, the band took its name from lyrics in the song "Head on Collision" by New Found Glory. The band has consistently done year-long tours, headlined numerous tours, and has appeared at music festivals including Warped Tour, Reading and Leeds, and Soundwave.
From the Screen to Your Stereo Part II is a cover album by American band New Found Glory, and is the follow-up from the EP From the Screen to Your Stereo (2000). All the tracks are cover versions of songs from motion picture soundtracks. In 2019, the band released another album in the series, From the Screen to Your Stereo 3, under the Hopeless label.
So Wrong, It's Right is the second studio album and major label debut by American rock band All Time Low. Following an unsuccessful showcase for Fueled by Ramen, Hopeless Records signed All Time Low in March 2006. They released an EP, Put Up or Shut Up, through the label in July of that year. After amassing 12 songs by January 2007, the band demoed some of them for Paul Leavitt. The group began recording So Wrong, It's Right in April at SOMD Studios in Beltsville, Maryland with producers Leavitt and Matt Squire. The band wrote five additional songs while in the studio. Following an acoustic tour in June, the band participated in Warped Tour, and "Dear Maria, Count Me In" was made available for streaming. After premiering a music video for "Six Feet Under the Stars", So Wrong, It's Right was released on September 25. The band spent the next three months supporting Boys Like Girls on their US tour.
Nothing Personal is the third studio album by American rock band All Time Low. As early as May 2008, the band began writing for their third album, and by November revealed they would be recording in the winter. The band began pre-production in early January 2009 and started recording later in the month, which lasted until March. Half of the album's songs were produced by Matt Squire with Butch Walker, David Bendeth and S*A*M and Sluggo each producing a few songs. Tom Lord-Alge mixed the majority of the album. "Weightless" was made available for streaming in March, and released as a single in April. A support slot for Fall Out Boy and an appearance at the Bamboozle festival followed.

Hands Like Houses are an Australian rock band from Canberra. Formed in 2008, the group is currently signed to Hopeless Records and UNFD. Their debut album, Ground Dweller, was released on 13 March 2012, charting at number 141 on the Billboard 200 and number 2 on the Billboard Heatseekers Albums chart. Their second album, Unimagine, was released on 23 July 2013, during their route on Warped Tour. The band's third album, Dissonants was released on 26 February 2016, followed by their fourth, Anon, on 12 October 2018.
Neck Deep are a Welsh pop-punk band from Wrexham, formed in 2012. Founded after vocalist Ben Barlow met former lead guitarist Lloyd Roberts, the pair posted a song online under the name Neck Deep. The song soon gained attention online, resulting in the addition of rhythm guitarist Matt West, drummer Dani Washington/Abasi, and bassist Fil Thorpe-Evans. They released a pair of EPs, Rain in July (2012) and A History of Bad Decisions (2013), both recorded by Barlow's older brother Seb, before signing with Hopeless in August 2013.
Resurrection is the eighth studio album by American rock band New Found Glory. Released on October 7, 2014, it is the band's first album recorded as a four-piece since the departure of founding guitarist-lyricist Steve Klein in late 2013. The Peace and the Panic is the third studio album by Welsh pop punk band Neck Deep. It is the band’s first album to feature lead guitarist Sam Bowden, formerly of the bands Blood Youth and Climates and the last to feature founding bassist and backing vocalist Fil Thorpe-Evans before his departure in September 2018. The group planned to work on material for their follow-up album by the end of the year, though were unable due to tour commitments. In June 2016, the band went on a two-week writing retreat in Wales, creating 40 song drafts in the process. At the end of the year, vocalist Ben Barlow said the group had around 30 demos and two completed songs. Following a support slot for A Day to Remember in early 2017, the band began recording The Peace and the Panic in March and April in Los Angeles, California. Mike Green produced the album with assistance from engineers Will McCoy and Colin Schwanke. Most of the album was mixed by Neal Avron, while Green mixed three of the songs.
Gossip is the fifth studio album by American rock band Sleeping with Sirens. The album was released on September 22, 2017, through Warner Bros. Records and follows the band's fourth studio album Madness (2015). It is the first release since the band's departure from Epitaph Records. The lead single, "Legends", was released on July 14, 2017.
The Canyon is the seventh studio album by American rock band the Used. The album was released as double album on October 27, 2017, through Hopeless Records and is dedicated to Tregen, a friend of Bert McCracken, who shot himself in Provo Canyon after coming off his anti-depressants for about a week. It is the only studio album to feature guitarist Justin Shekoski since Quinn Allman's departure in 2015. It was highly acclaimed by critics and fans alike and appearing on many best-of-the-year lists, though it only peaked at 50 on the Billboard 200.
All Distortions Are Intentional is the fourth studio album by Welsh pop punk band Neck Deep, released on 24 July 2020 by Hopeless Records. It was produced by Matt Squire and mixed by Seb Barlow. It is the first album to not feature bassist Fil Thorpe-Evans, who left in the fall of 2018 and the last to feature original member and drummer Dani Washington before his departure in 2022. The band's photographer Joshua Halling recorded bass on all tracks on this album. He ultimately decided not to join the band full-time and was later replaced by Seb Barlow, longtime collaborator of the band and brother of frontman Ben Barlow.
Forever + Ever x Infinity is the tenth studio album by American rock band New Found Glory, released on June 19, 2020 via Hopeless Records and a deluxe version on September 3, 2021.
