Masterton Central

Masterton Central is a suburb of Masterton, a town on New Zealand's North Island.

It consists of a central business district centred on Queen Street. Commercial activity on the street drifted south in the 1990s, but the northern end of the street experienced a resurgence in the 2000s. [1] Plans for a redevelopment of the street were drawn up in 2016 and went through public consultation in 2017. [2]

Education

St Patrick's School is a co-educational state integrated Catholic primary school for Year 1 to 6 students, [3] [4] with a roll of 223 as of March 2020. [5]

Lansdowne, Masterton's largest suburb, is on the left bank of the Waipoua stream at the north-western end of Masterton, New Zealand. It is further distinguished from the rest of the town by having been subdivided late in the 19th century and because it was administered by the Masterton County Council. It was amalgamated with Masterton Borough in 1921.
