Mcateella is a genus of ash-grey leaf bugs, insects of the family Piesmatidae, [1] first described by Carl John Drake in 1924 [1] [2] The genus name honours Waldo Lee McAtee. [2] The genus is endemic to Australia [3] and is found in all mainland states and territories, with the exception of Victoria and the ACT. [1]
Elias and Cassis state that Mcateella feed not only on Acacias , but on a wide range of plants. [3] .
A phylogenetic analysis found that Miespa is a sister taxon of Mcateella, implying a transantarctic relationship. [3]
As of 2022 [update] , the Australian Faunal Directory accepts the following species: [1]

The Pentatomomorpha comprise an infraorder of insects in the true bug order Hemiptera. It unites such animals as the stink bugs (Pentatomidae), flat bugs (Aradidae), seed bugs, etc. They are closely related to the Cimicomorpha.
The family Archeocrypticidae is a small group of beetles with no vernacular common name, though recent authors have coined the name cryptic fungus beetles. Adults and larvae seems to be saprophagous and are often found in plant litter. Worldwide, about 10 genera and 50 species are found, most species are pantropical. Enneboeus caseyi has been recorded from the American South, Central America, and Mexico. About 20 species are found in Australia, in the genera Enneboeus,Australenneboeus and Gondwanenneboeus,Archeocrypticus,Falsoplatydema, Nothenneboeus, Sivacrypticus and Wattianus.
Beddomeia zeehanensis is a species of very small freshwater snail that has a gill and an operculum, an aquatic operculate gastropod mollusk in the family Hydrobiidae. The species was first described in 1993 by Winston Ponder and G.A. Clark.
Apiomorpha is a genus of scale insect that induces galls on species of Eucalyptus. Galls are initiated by first-instar nymphs (crawlers) on new plant growth and, when mature, the galls exhibit marked sexual dimorphism. Those induced by females are among the largest and most spectacular of arthropod-induced galls whereas those of males are small and most are tubular. Apiomorpha is known only from Australia and New Guinea although its host, Eucalyptus, has a wider distribution into Indonesia as well.
