3 Liberal MLC Mary Wooldridge resigned on 8 December 2019. [4] She was replaced by Matthew Bach on 5 March 2020.
4 Labor MLC Gavin Jennings resigned on 23 March 2020. He was replaced by Lee Tarlamis on 23 April 2020.
5 Labor MLC Adem Somyurek left the Labor Party to sit as an independent member on 15 June 2020. [5]
6 Labor MLC Jenny Mikakos resigned on 26 September 2020. [6] She was replaced by Sheena Watt on 13 October 2020.
7 Liberal MLC Edward O'Donohue resigned on 1 December 2021. He was replaced by Cathrine Burnett-Wake on 2 December 2021.
8 Labor MLC Kaushaliya Vaghela left the Labor Party to sit as an independent member on 7 March 2022. [7]
9 Liberal Democrats MLC David Limbrick resigned on 11 April 2022. He returned to the seat on 22 June 2022.
10 Liberal MLC Bernie Finn was expelled from the Liberal Party on 24 May 2022 for "a series of inflammatory social media posts". [8] He later joined the Democratic Labour Party on 2 June 2022. [9]
11 Labor MLC Jane Garrett died on 2 July 2022. [10] She was replaced by Tom McIntosh on 17 August 2022. [11]

Jenny Mikakos is a former Australian politician for the Labor Party who was a Member of the Legislative Council of Victoria from 1999 to 2020. She served as the Minister for Health, Minister for Ambulance Services and Minister for the Coordination of Health and Human Services COVID-19 as well as Deputy Leader of the Government, but resigned these positions and from parliament on 26 September 2020 in the wake of criticism of her role in hotel quarantine during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Adem Kubilay Somyurek is an Australian politician. He has served as a member of the Victorian Legislative Council representing South Eastern Metropolitan Region since 2002.

Bernard Thomas Christopher Finn is a former Australian politician who was a member of the Victorian Legislative Council representing the Western Metropolitan Region from the election of November 2006 until he lost in the November 2022 election. He was previously the member for the electoral district of Tullamarine in the Victorian Legislative Assembly from October 1992 until September 1999.

Marlene Kairouz is an Australian politician. She has been a Labor member of the Victorian Legislative Assembly since 2008. She was the Minister for Consumer Affairs, Gaming and Liquor Regulation between 2016 and 2020.

The 2014 Victorian state election, held on Saturday, 29 November 2014, was for the 58th Parliament of Victoria. All 88 seats in the Victorian Legislative Assembly and 40 seats in the Victorian Legislative Council were up for election. The incumbent centre-right Coalition minority government, led by Liberal Party leader and Premier Denis Napthine and National Party leader and Deputy Premier Peter Ryan, was defeated by the centre-left Labor Party opposition, led by Daniel Andrews. The Greens won two lower house seats, their first Legislative Assembly seats in a Victorian state election, whilst increasing their share of upper house seats. The new Andrews Ministry was sworn in on 4 December 2014.

Jane Furneaux Garrett was an Australian politician. She was the Labor Party member for Brunswick in the Victorian Legislative Assembly from 2010 until 2018, when she transferred to the Victorian Legislative Council representing Eastern Victoria.

The First Andrews ministry was the 69th ministry of the Government of Victoria. The Labor Government, led by the Premier, Daniel Andrews, and Deputy Premier, James Merlino, was officially sworn in on 4 December 2014, following the 2014 state election, which was held on 29 November 2014. At the time of its formation, the Ministry comprised 22 ministers, five of which were members of the Victorian Legislative Council and 17 who were members of the Victorian Legislative Assembly. At the time, nine ministers were women.

The 2018 Victorian state election was held on Saturday, 24 November 2018 to elect the 59th Parliament of Victoria. All 88 seats in the Legislative Assembly and all 40 seats in the Legislative Council were up for election. The first-term incumbent Labor government, led by Premier Daniel Andrews, won a second four-year term, defeating the Liberal/National Coalition opposition, led by Opposition Leader Matthew Guy in a landslide victory. Minor party the Greens led by Samantha Ratnam also contested the election.

The Second Andrews ministry was the 70th ministry of the Government of Victoria. The Labor government, led by Premier Daniel Andrews and Deputy Premier James Merlino, was officially sworn in on 29 November 2018, following the party's second consecutive victory at the 2018 state election, which was held on 24 November 2018.

Kaushaliya Virjibhai Vaghela is a former Australian politician. She was a member of the Victorian Legislative Council from 2018 to 2022, representing the Western Metropolitan Region. She was the first Indian-born member of the Victorian Parliament, and is Hindu. Before her preselection in 2018, she worked as a part-time adviser to then-State Minister for Multicultural Affairs, Robin Scott.

The 2022 Victorian state election was held on Saturday, 26 November 2022 to elect the 60th Parliament of Victoria. All 88 seats in the Legislative Assembly and all 40 seats in the Legislative Council were up for election at the time the writs were issued, however the election in the district of Narracan was deferred due to the death of a candidate. The second-term incumbent Labor government, led by Premier Daniel Andrews, won a third four-year term, defeating the Liberal/National Coalition opposition, led by Opposition Leader Matthew Guy, increasing their majority from their 2018 landslide election result. Minor party the Greens led by Samantha Ratnam also contested the election, as well as other minor parties and independent candidates.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2023 New South Wales state election</span>

The 2023 New South Wales state election will be held on 25 March 2023 to elect the 58th Parliament of New South Wales, including all 93 seats in the Legislative Assembly and 21 of the 42 seats in the Legislative Council. The election will be conducted by the New South Wales Electoral Commission (NSWEC).

Joshua Solomon Burns is an Australian politician. Representing the Australian Labor Party, he was elected as the member for the division of Macnamara in Melbourne at the 2019 Australian federal election.

This is a list of the candidates of the 2022 Victorian state election.

The New Democrats are a minor party founded in 2022 by then-sitting MLC and former Victorian Labor Party member Kaushaliya Vaghela. A former Independent MLC for the Western Metropolitan Region, Vaghela is the party's secretary. The party is also claimed to have over 2,000 members, being registered by the Victorian Electoral Commission (VEC) on 6 October 2022, 51 days before the state election.
