The Michigan Ultras is the Michigan Wolverines men's and women's soccer student section. The section consists of over 900 members and provides a distinct game-time atmosphere. The section is located in the student bleachers of the U-M Soccer Complex and is a registered official student organization with the University of Michigan.
The Michigan Ultras was officially founded in the spring of 2010 by Matthew Peven. [1] Possessing an ever-growing fanbase, their members are known for their loyal dedication in supporting the men's and women's soccer teams by creating an exciting and intimidating atmosphere through organized chanting and cheering. [2] Additionally, they aim at creating a unified campus group that is founded in a love for soccer.
Since its beginning, the Ultras are known for various chants that have been developed and passed down over the section's history. The chants are often improvised within the duration of a match, and they carry on throughout the rest of the season. Several of their classic chants can be found on their YouTube page [3] and website. [4] There are also members that are dedicated to playing drums or cowbells at every match. For bigger games, the Ultras will host marches across campus to the soccer complex, carrying banners and flags. Consistent members receive a shirt and scarf for attending a certain number of soccer matches during the season.
Post season, the Ultras are also known for hosting intramural teams, guest lectures, FIFA tournaments, and watch parties for big international soccer matches to help promote soccer awareness across campus.
The Big Ten Conference is the oldest Division I collegiate athletic conference in the United States. It is based in Rosemont, Illinois. For many decades this conference consisted of ten universities, and presently has 14 member and two affiliate institutions. They compete in the NCAA Division I; its football teams compete in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS), formerly known as Division I-A, the highest level of NCAA competition in that sport. The conference includes the flagship public university in each of 11 states stretching from New Jersey to Nebraska, as well as two additional public land-grant schools and a private university.

The Stony Brook Seawolves are the athletic teams of Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, New York, United States. The school competes at the Division I level of the National Collegiate Athletic Association and participates in the America East Conference for all sports except football, in which they participate as an associate member of the Colonial Athletic Association, and women's tennis, which competes as an associate member of the Missouri Valley Conference. The official colors of the Seawolves are red, grey, and blue.
Legion of Blue is the student cheering section supporting the Penn State Nittany Lions men's basketball team. The cheering section has been around as long as the Penn State basketball team, but the organization was formed in 2003 as the Nittwits before changing its name to Nittany Nation in 2007. In 2015, Nittany Nation was rebranded as Legion of Blue in an effort to better organize the group. Legion of Blue was named after the Legion of Boom, the nickname of the mid-2010s Seattle Seahawks defense that was popular during the time of the rebranding. ESPN and the Big Ten Network have featured the section during live game action.

The Penn State Nittany Lions men's soccer team is an intercollegiate varsity sports team of Pennsylvania State University. The team is a member of the Big Ten Conference of the National Collegiate Athletic Association. Penn State's intercollegiate soccer program began in 1911 and has won or shared 11 national championships and 6 conference tournament championships. In 1959, the team joined the National Collegiate Athletic Association when it added men's soccer to its program and in 1987 joined the Atlantic 10 Conference as a charter member. At the conclusion of its 1990 season the Nittany Lions joined the Big Ten Conference where they play today.

The Northern Guard Supporters are an independent supporters group for Detroit City FC (DCFC) of United Women's Soccer’s (UWS) Midwest Conference and of the National Independent Soccer Association (NISA). DCFC’s men’s side formerly played in the National Premier Soccer League's (NPSL) Midwestern Conference before joining NISA in 2019.

Jeffrey Field is an outdoor college soccer stadium in University Park, Pennsylvania, United States, on the campus of Pennsylvania State University. It has been home to Penn State Nittany Lions men's soccer and Penn State Nittany Lions women's soccer since 1972. The stadium was dedicated and named after the late-Bill Jeffrey, who was Penn State men's soccer head coach from 1926 until 1952. Jeffrey Field had an initial seating capacity of 2,500, but was later increased to 3,000 in 1978. The stadium's capacity was increased again in 2003 to meet rising ticket needs.

Park Avenue Army is a supporters group for Penn State men's soccer and Penn State women's soccer. The group was formed as two separate groups, Park Avenue Army and Sons of Jeffrey in 2011 and 2015 respectively. The groups were formally combined under one banner and leadership in 2019. Members occupy the northwest stand of Jeffrey Field during home matches.
