Midnight is the fourth studio album by American band Set It Off. The album was released on February 1,2019 by record label Fearless Records,being their album debut under this label. [4]
The band changed all of their social media profile photos to a solid blue hue on July 19,2018. The next days,they posted more teasers heavily focused on:the color blue,the 12:00,an hourglass and the tick of a clock in the background. [5]
The band announced their signing with Fearless Records with the release of "Killer in the Mirror",the first single of the album,on July 24,2018. [6] The second single of the album,"Lonely Dance",was released on November 19,with a music video. That same day,the band officially announced Midnight,revealing the track listing,the cover art and the release date. [7] One month later,on December 14,they released the third and fourth singles of the album,"Dancing With The Devil" and "For You Forever". [8] To celebrate the new year,they released "Midnight Thoughts",the fifth single of the album,on January 1,2019. [9] The sixth and last single of the album "Hourglass" was released on June 21 along with a new music video. [10]
They announced "The Midnight World Tour" which consisted of four parts. The Part 1 took place in North America on February and March of 2019,with supporters With Confidence and Super Whatevr. [11] Part 2 took place in UK and Europe in April 2019. [12] Part 3 took place in North America on June and July of 2019,with supporters Emarosa,Broadside and Lizzy Farrall. [13] Finally,the Part 4 of the tour,which took place in UK and Europe,had been rescheduled multiple times because of Cody Carson's vocal injury and Coronavirus pandemy. [14] [15] [16] [17]
After the release of the album the band released three Digital B-sides:"Catch Me If You Can" on December 13,2019, [18] "So Predictable" on January 3,2020 [19] and "One Single Second" on February 14. [20] The three singles were taken from their EP After Midnight,which also released on February 14. The band later announced Midnight:The Final Chapter (which contained the contents of the original album and the EP),with the release of an acoustic version of "Killer in the mirror" on May 7,2021,set to release on June 4 of the same year only by digital streaming. [21] Two more acoustic versions were released:"Lonely Dance" on May 21 [22] and "Happy All the Time" on the same day the expanded edition was released. [23] A music video for the acoustic version of "Happy All the Time" was published on July 13. [24]

The album received positive reviews from critics. Walladmin from Wall of Sound stated that "As a pop album Midnight is a solid effort,with some amazing vocals and ridiculously catchy choruses." [1] Matt Collar from Allmusic wrote that the album "finds the Florida outfit continuing to expand their emo and punk influences with hip-hop and dance influences." [3]

Shinedown is an American rock band from Jacksonville, Florida, formed by singer Brent Smith in 2001 after the dissolution of his previous band, Dreve. Mayday Parade is an American rock band from Tallahassee, Florida. Formed in 2005, the band was a result of a merger between two local Tallahassee bands, Kid Named Chicago and Defining Moment. Their debut EP Tales Told by Dead Friends, was released in 2006, and sold over 50,000 copies without any label support. In July 2007, Mayday Parade released their debut album A Lesson in Romantics. Having been signed to Fearless Records since 2006, the band also signed onto a major label with Atlantic Records in 2009. Their second studio album, Anywhere but Here was released in October 2009 and their third album, entitled Mayday Parade, was released in October 2011. Mayday Parade's fourth album, titled Monsters in the Closet, was released in October 2013. Their fifth album, titled Black Lines, was released October 2015. In April 2018, the band signed to Rise Records and released their sixth studio album Sunnyland on June 15, 2018. Their seventh studio album, What It Means to Fall Apart, was released on November 19, 2021.
The Maine is an American rock band from Tempe, Arizona. Formed in 2007, the group consists of lead vocalist, guitarist and pianist John O'Callaghan, lead guitarist Jared Monaco, bass guitarist Garrett Nickelsen, drummer Patrick Kirch, and rhythm guitarist Kennedy Brock. Jordan Mark Witzigreuter, known professionally as The Ready Set, is an American singer-songwriter from Fort Wayne, Indiana, United States. He is the lead vocalist and sole member of the act, using a backup band while on tour. He has released six studio albums, Syntax and Bright Lights, Tantrum Castle, I'm Alive, I'm Dreaming, The Bad & the Better, I Will Be Nothing Without Your Love and Cherryland, nine extended plays and fourteen singles. Motionless in White is an American metalcore band from Scranton, Pennsylvania. Formed in 2004, the band consists of lead vocalist Chris "Motionless" Cerulli, guitarists Ryan Sitkowski and Ricky "Horror" Olson, drummer Vinny Mauro and bassist Justin Morrow. Cerulli is the only member of the original line-up that remains in the band. The group has stated that their band name derived from the Eighteen Visions song "Motionless and White".
