Milkipur is one of five assembly constituencies in the Ayodhya Lok Sabha constituency. Since 2008, this assembly constituency is numbered 273 amongst 403 constituencies.

Till now there have been three big leaders in Milkipur Vidhan Sabha. First Mitra Sen Yadav, who was also called Babu by the people and was most loved by them. Second Ram chandar yadav , third Awadhesh Prasad Pasi. Milkipur is an OBC and SC dominated area.
