Fifth Harmony, often shortened to 5H, is an American girl group based in Miami, composed of Ally Brooke, Normani, Dinah Jane, Lauren Jauregui, and formerly Camila Cabello until her departure from the group in December 2016. The group signed a joint record deal with Simon Cowell's label Syco Records and L.A. Reid's label Epic Records after forming and were the last contestant eliminated in the second season of the American singing competition series The X Factor in 2012.
Lauren Michelle Jauregui Morgado is an American singer and songwriter. She rose to prominence as a member of the girl group Fifth Harmony, which became one of the best-selling girl groups of all time. Jauregui began experimenting with different sounds and exploring solo songwriting, collaborating on songs with Marian Hill, Steve Aoki and Halsey. She signed to Columbia Records to release her debut solo single "Expectations" in October 2018.
Better Together is the debut extended play by American girl group Fifth Harmony. In Walmart exclusively, the Juntos and Juntos Acoustic EPs were bundled together, while at Target, "One Wish" was included as a bonus track on the original version; meanwhile, the iTunes edition of the original EP included "Me & My Girls", which the group performed in 2013 as guests on the third season of The X Factor, and served as a promotional single for the EP.

In October 2017, she featured in RedOne's single "Boom Boom" with Daddy Yankee and French Montana. After the group's hiatus announcement in 2018, Jane signed as a solo artist with L.A. Reid's HitCo Entertainment. Her debut solo single, "Bottled Up" featuring Ty Dolla Sign and Marc E. Bassy, was released in September 2018. This was followed by the release of her extended play, Dinah Jane 1, in April 2019.

The song was written by Pitbull, Madison Love, Sermstyle and Philip Kembo, and produced by the latter two. Additional writing credits were also given to Usher, Alicia Keys, Jermaine Dupri, Adonis Shropshire and Manuel Seal, as it contains a sample from the 2004 single "My Boo" by Usher and Keys, as well as Barry White since the latter song incorporated a melody from the 1977 song "He's All I've Got" by American female vocal trio Love Unlimited. The Spanglish version has been performed at the 2017 Latin American Music Awards, on the finale of Dancing with the Stars and on Showtime at the Apollo. Shortly after the single's release the Spanglish version was included on the Spotify re-release of the album, thus becoming its third official single and the final single released by the group prior to their indefinite hiatus, which began in 2018.
"Expectations" is the debut solo single by American singer and songwriter Lauren Jauregui, released on October 24, 2018. It is a guitar-driven R&B song written by Jauregui and produced by Kid Harpoon, about an unresponsive relationship and the assumptions that people have and try to change about them. Jauregui first performed the track in June 2018, as the opening act for Halsey's Hopeless Fountain Kingdom Tour in Latin America. "Expectations" received positive reviews from critics who praised Harpoon's production and Jauregui's musicianship. The song's black-and-white music video was creatively directed and co-edited by Jauregui, and portrays two opposing facets of the artist.
