The Polish Border Guard is a state security agency tasked with patrolling the Polish border. It existed in the Second Republic era from 1928 to 1939 and was reestablished in the modern-day Third Republic in 1990, going into operation the following year. During the communist era lasting from 1945 to 1989, the role of the border guard was carried out by the Border Protection Troops.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Polish Land Forces</span> Ground warfare branch of Polands military forces

The Land Forces are the land forces of the Polish Armed Forces. They currently contain some 110,000 active personnel and form many components of the European Union and NATO deployments around the world. Poland's recorded military history stretches back a millennium – since the 10th century. Poland's modern army was formed after Poland regained independence following World War I in 1918.

The Polish People's Army was the second formation of the Polish Armed Forces in the East during the latter stages of the Second World War (1943–1945), and subsequently the armed forces of the Polish communist state (1945–1989), which was formalized in 1952 as the Polish People's Republic.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Polish Special Forces</span> Military unit

The Special Troops Command is the special forces command of the Polish Armed Forces. The command was formed in 2007 and is the fourth military branch of the SZ RP.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">AHS Krab</span> Polish 155 mm self-propelled howitzer

The AHS Krab is a 155 mm NATO-compatible self-propelled tracked gun-howitzer designed in Poland by Huta Stalowa Wola (HSW), by combining a modified South Korean K9 Thunder chassis with a British BAE Systems AS-90M Braveheart turret with a 52-calibre gun produced by HSW and the Polish WB Electronics' Topaz artillery fire control system. "AHS" is not a part of the name, but Polish abbreviation of armatohaubica samobieżna - gun-howitzer, self-propelled.

The FB MSBS Grot is a family of modular assault rifle developed and manufactured by FB "Łucznik" Radom. Early prototypes were known as the MSBS-5.56 Radon.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Pesa Elf</span>

The Elf is an electric multiple unit developed by Polish rolling-stock manufacturer Pesa SA. It is intended for commuter and regional service where platform height is 55 cm (22 in). It is based on earlier EMU designs named ED59 and ED74. A Pesa Elf was exhibited at InnoTrans 2010.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Leopard 2PL</span> Main Battle Tank

The Leopard 2PL is a main battle tank used by the Polish Armed Forces, and is a modernized version of the older Leopard 2A4 tank, phased out by Germany and first acquired by Poland in the 2000s. The modernisation is currently being carried out in cooperation with Rheinmetall and the Polish Armaments Group.

The Piorun is a Polish man-portable air-defense system, designed to destroy low-flying aircraft, airplanes, helicopters and unmanned aerial vehicles. The set is a deep modernization of the PPZR Grom set, with an alternative designation of Grom-M.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">PSR-A Pilica</span> Anti-Aircraft System

PSR-A Pilica is a Polish Very Short Range Air Defense (VSHORAD) anti-aircraft missile and artillery system.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Borsuk (infantry fighting vehicle)</span> Polish infantry fighting vehicle

Borsuk is an amphibious infantry fighting vehicle produced by Huta Stalowa Wola, a part of PGZ. It is designed to replace the BWP-1 IFV that has been in service with the Polish Armed Forces since 1973 but is now obsolete.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Hełm wz. 63</span>

The Hełm wz. 63 is a Polish steel helmet designed for airborne troops introduced in the 1960s. In the Polish Army, wz. 63 helmet was replaced by the HP-03 helmet in 2015.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Moderus Beta</span> Low-floor tram produced by Modertrans Poznań

Moderus Beta is a partially low-floor tram, available in either one or three sections, with a single or dual direction configuration. It is produced by the company Modertrans Poznań. These trams are in operation in the Metropolis GZM, Poznań, Szczecin, Wrocław, Elbląg, and Grudziądz. A total of 162 units have been produced.

The LMP-2017 is a 60mm mortar that is produced by Zakłady Mechaniczne Tarnów.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">OSU-35K</span> Polish anti-aircraft gun

The OSU-35K is a Polish naval remote weapon station and a close-in weapon system manufactured by PIT-Radwar. Armed with a 35 mm Oerlikon KDA autocannon, it is meant to defend surface combatants against various types of maneuvering aerial targets such as anti-ship missiles, unmanned aerial vehicles, conventional and rotary-wing aircraft, It can also engage surface and coastal targets. It is in service with the Polish Navy on the Kormoran II-class minehunters and is planned to equip the Wicher-class frigates.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Heron (armored personnel carrier)</span> Wheeled armored personnel carrier

Heron – wheeled armoured personnel carrier with a 6x6 drive, in a command vehicle version equipped with HMS C3IS Jasmin data processing and internal communications equipment. The carrier is planned to be used as a command and staff vehicle in Homar-K missile launcher divisions. In May 2024, it was tested in Polish Army exercises under the codename Field Experimentation Exercise 2024, at the Land Forces Training Center in Nowa Dęba and at the training ground in Lipa.

WB Electronics FT5-Łoś – WB Electronics FT5-Łoś – an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) developed by the Polish company WB Electronics, intended for close reconnaissance and as a weapon carrier.
