Mount Giovinetto ( 78°16′S86°10′W / 78.267°S 86.167°W / -78.267; -86.167 ) is the summit of a buttress-type mountain (4,090 m) located 2 nautical miles (3.7 km) north of Mount Ostenso and 1.5 nautical miles (2.8 km) south of Mount Viets in the main ridge of the Sentinel Range, Antarctica. It surmounts Rumyana Glacier to the east and Delyo Glacier to the northeast.

The mountain was discovered by the Charles R. Bentley-led Marie Byrd Land Traverse party, 1957–58, and named after Mario Giovinetto, glaciologist at Byrd Station in 1957. [1]

It surmounts Wessbecher Glacier to the southeast and Sirma Glacier to the northwest.

Barnes Ridge is a ridge 7 nautical miles (13 km) long, rising to over 1,210 metres (3,970 ft) and extending between Young Glacier and Ellen Glacier at the east side of the Sentinel Range, Ellsworth Mountains in Antarctica. It is bounded by Rutford Ice Stream to the east and Arapya Glacier to the west, and connected to Maglenik Heights to the northwest by Dropla Gap. Its eastern slopes are drained by Ranuli Ice Piedmont.

Rumyana Glacier is the 6 nautical miles long and 2 nautical miles wide glacier on the east side of north-central Sentinel Range in Ellsworth Mountains, Antarctica, situated northwest of Patton Glacier and southeast of Delyo Glacier. It drains the east slopes of Mount Giovinetto and the north slopes of Evans Peak, and flows northeastwards to join Ellen Glacier northwest of Mount Jumper.

Together with Patton and Pulpudeva Glaciers, it enters Ellen Glacier northwest of Mamarchev Peak and southeast of Mount Jumper.

Mount Jumper is a mountain 2,890 metres (9,480 ft) high located 7 nautical miles (13 km) east of Mount Viets in the central part of the Sentinel Range of the Ellsworth Mountains in Antarctica. Debren Pass separates it from the side ridge descending via Evans Peak. The mountain overlooks Ellen Glacier to the north and east, and its tributaries Patton Glacier and Rumyana Glacier to the south and northwest respectively.

Kannheiser Glacier is a glacier about 4 nautical miles (7 km) long, lying 12 nautical miles (22 km) east-southeast of Cape Flying Fish on Thurston Island, Antarctica, and flowing south into the Abbot Ice Shelf. It was first delineated from air photos taken by U.S. Navy Operation Highjump in December 1946, and was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names for Lieutenant Commander William Kannheiser, U.S. Navy, a helicopter pilot aboard USS Glacier, who explored and photographed new Thurston Island features in February 1960.

Mount Viets is a sharp pyramidal mountain over 3,600 m, standing 1.5 nautical miles (2.8 km) north of Mount Giovinetto in the main ridge of the Sentinel Range, Ellsworth Mountains. It surmounts Delyo Glacier to the east and Burdenis Glacier to the northeast.
