Mundra Thermal Power Station is located at Mundra in Kutch district in the Indian state of Gujarat. The power plant is one of the coal-based power plants of Adani Power. The coal for the power plant is imported primarily from Bunyu, Indonesia. [1] Source of water for the power plant is sea water from the Gulf of Kutch.
It is the world's 11th-largest single location coal-based thermal power plant as well as India's second largest operational power plant after NTPC Vindhyanchal. [2]
The plant has nine power generating units, unit# 5 to 9 involves super-critical boiler technology.
In July 2012 Adani Power have requested Central Electricity Regulatory Commission to increase the power tariff due to increase in price of coal imported from Indonesia. [3]

It is the 3rd largest operational power plant in India. The coal for the power plant is imported primarily from Indonesia. The source of water for the power plant is sea water from Gulf of Kutch. The power plant is owned by Tata Power. The special purpose vehicle Coastal Gujarat Power Ltd (CGPL) was incorporated on 10 February 2006.

Sasan UMPP is India's largest integrated power generation and coal mine project with 3,960 MW power plant and 20 MT per year coal mining capacity. It is presently the 4th largest electricity generation power plant in India after NTPC Vindhyachal, Mundra Thermal Power and Mundra UMPP. The total project value of Sasan UMPP is ₹25,186 crores.
Tiroda Thermal Power Station is a coal-based thermal power plant located near Tirora in Gondia district, Maharashtra. The power plant is operated by the Adani Power.
