The Nagarjuna Express was a train operating on the South Central Railway division of the Indian Railways in India.
The Nagarjuna Express originally went from Secunderabad to Guntur, but later was rescheduled to go to Tenali also after Guntur Junction and finally terminated at Secunderabad. The train was upgraded to Superfast from its old number 7005/7006 to 2719/2720.
This train was cancelled in the third week of June 2007 and 2805/2806 Visakhapatnam–Tenali Janmabhoomi Express extended to Secunderabad.

The South Central Railway is one of the 19 zones of Indian Railways. The jurisdiction of the zone is spread over the states of Telangana, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. It has three divisions under its administration, which include Secunderabad, Hyderabad and Nanded. It was re-organized in 2019 and the divisions of Vijayawada, Guntur and Guntakal railway divisions were separated to form South Coast Railway zone. Secunderabad Junction is a major intercity junction railway station and a commuter rail hub in the Hyderabad urban area. In the city centre, the station is in the South Central Railway zone of Indian Railways. Built in 1874 by the Nizam of Hyderabad during the British era, it was the main station of Nizam's Guaranteed State Railway until the Kacheguda railway station opened in 1916. The station was taken over by Indian Railways in 1951, when NGSR was nationalized. Its main portico and concourse are influenced by Nizamesque architecture. The station, which resembles a fort, is a tourist attraction in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad.

Earlier the train used to run between Hyderabad Deccan and Cochin Harbour Terminus railway station. It was extended to Thiruvananthapuram Central from 27 March 2005.
The Visakhapatnam–Secunderabad Duronto Express is a superfast AC express train of the Indian Railways, announced in 2011-12 Railway Budget by Mamata Banerjee, the then Minister of Indian Railways, connecting Secunderabad (SC) to Visakhapatnam (VSKP). It is the fastest way between the two cities and will consist of 18 coaches. On 30 June 2012, the Indian Railways announced that the train will be flagged of on 6 July. It was however flagged off from Visakhapatnam on 12 July 2012.
The 12805 / 12806 Janmabhoomi Express is an InterCity service of Indian Railways that travels from Lingampalli to Visakhapatnam. It was first introduced between Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada Jn. It was later extended up to Tenali Jn and then the Nagarjuna Express was cancelled and thus made the Visakhapatnam–Secunderabad Janmabhoomi Express via Tenali Junction, and now it is extended from Secunderabad Junction to Lingampalli. It is an express service that travels in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The train travels at an average speed of 55 km/h and uses a WDP4D of Gooty from Lingampalli to Tenali Jn then switches to a WAP4 of Erode from Tenali Jn to Vishakapatnam Jn. It is classified as a Express in the Indian Railways classification list.

The Southern Railway (SR) of the Indian Railways administers this train & the train shares its rakes with 22649/22650 Yercaud Express.
