The Champion's Jersey

The Namibian National Road Race Championship is a cycling race where the Namibian cyclists decide who will become the champion for the year to come. The winners of each event are awarded with a symbolic cycling jersey, just like the national flag, these colours can be worn by the rider at other road racing events in the country to show their status as national champion. The champion's stripes can be combined into a sponsored rider's team kit design for this purpose.

Most of the 2006 national road cycling championships took place in June, although there were a few exceptions such as the Australian and American championships which take place in January and September respectively.

Australian National Road Race Championships National road cycling championship in Australia

The Australian National Road Race Championships, are held annually with an event for each category of rider: Men, Women & under 23 riders. The event also includes the Australian National Time Trial Championships since 2002. The event has been run concurrently with the Australian National Road Race Championships since 2002. The Australian Championships have officially been known as the Scody Australian Open Road Cycling Championships since 1999, taking the name of their main sponsor, but are more commonly referred to as The Nationals. According to Cycling Australia, the under 23 men's time trial championships were introduced in 2001. Gran fondo national championships were introduced in 2016. E-sports made a debut in 2019.

Australian National Criterium Championships National road cycling championship in Australia

The Australian National Criterium Championships cover several different categories of Australian road bicycle racing events, normally held annually. The elite event is normally held in the December the preceding year, for example the 2009 championships were held on 14 December 2008, and the 2008 championships were held on 2 December 2007. Occasionally the event will be held in January and under 23 events combined with the elite race. Each year the championships are held in a different location, often incorporated in other annual criterium events.

South African National Road Race Championships National road cycling championship in South Africa

The South African National Road Race Championship is a road bicycle race that takes place inside the South African National Cycling Championship, and decides the best cyclist in this type of race. The first race winner of the road race championship was Malcolm Lange in 1995; Malcolm Lange is the only cyclist to have won the championships three times. The women's record is held by Anriette Schoeman with 7 wins.

Alice Barnes English cyclist

Alice Barnes is an English racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Women's WorldTeam Canyon–SRAM. She is the sister of fellow racing cyclist Hannah Barnes, who also rides for Canyon–SRAM.

The 2015 national road cycling championships began in Australia with the time trial event on 8 January, as is tradition.

Michelle Vorster is a Namibian cross-country cyclist. She is the first ever Namibian female to qualify for the Olympic Cross Country event and competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in the women's cross country race. Vorster also qualified and competed in the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia. She competed in the Elite Road and Cross Country Olympic events. She finished in 8th position in the Cross Country Olympic event, the highest position by any Namibian cyclist to date.

Nicolle Marie Bruderer Cofiño is a Guatemalan professional racing cyclist, who most recently rode for UCI Women's Continental Team Tibco–Silicon Valley Bank.

Katrine Aalerud Norwegian cyclist

Katrine Aalerud is a Norwegian professional racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Women's WorldTeam Movistar Team. She rode in the women's road race at the 2016 UCI Road World Championships, finishing in 39th place.

Phetdarin Somrat Thai cyclist

Phetdarin Jaruwan Somrat is a Thai professional racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Women's Continental Team Thailand Women's Cycling Team. She rode in the women's road race at the 2016 UCI Road World Championships, but she did not finish the race.

Mossana Debesai is an Eritrean professional racing cyclist, who last rode for UCI Women's Team Servetto–Piumate–Beltrami TSA. She competed in the women's road race event at the 2020 Summer Olympics.

The 2017 national road cycling championships will be held throughout the year and are organised by the UCI member federations. They began in Australia with the time trial event on 5 January, as is tradition.

Sharlotte Lucas is a New Zealand professional road racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Women's Continental Team DNA Pro Cycling.

Grace Brown is an Australian road racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Women's WorldTeam FDJ Nouvelle-Aquitaine Futuroscope. Brown competed in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. She just missed out on a medal in the women’s time trial, finishing fourth. She also competed in the women's road race where she came 47th.

Lorena Wiebes Dutch cyclist

Lorena Wiebes is a Dutch racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Women's WorldTeam Team DSM. She rode for Parkhotel Valkenburg in the women's team time trial event at the 2018 UCI Road World Championships. She won the gold medal in road cycling at the 2019 European Games, beating her compatriot Marianne Vos in the sprint for the line.

2021 UCI Road World Championships – Womens road race Cycling race

The Women's road race of the 2021 UCI Road World Championships was a cycling event that took place on 25 September 2021 from Antwerp to Leuven, Belgium. Anna van der Breggen of the Netherlands was the defending champion.
