The Slovakia National Road Race Championships take place annually and decide the national champion for the year in various categories. The winner of the championship gains the right to wear a distinctive jersey with a Slovak flag during races.

Elkov–Kasper is a UCI Continental road bicycle racing team based in Czech Republic and participates on the UCI Europe Tour. The sponsors of the team are Elkov, an electrical company, and Kasper, a steel manufacturer. The team was one of the best cycling teams before the lifting of the Iron Curtain. The team became professional in 2000. The best known riders for the team were Alois Kaňkovský and Tomáš Bucháček. Peter Sagan is a Slovak professional cyclist, who competes in road bicycle racing for UCI Continental team RRK Group–Pierre Baguette–Benzinol. Sagan had a successful junior cyclo-cross and mountain bike racing career, winning the junior cross-country race at the 2008 UCI Mountain Bike & Trials World Championships, before moving to road racing. Following 121 victories in road racing, Sagan is scheduled to return to mountain bike racing in 2024 with Specialized Factory Racing.

Ján Valach is a Slovak retired professional road cyclist. He now works as a directeur sportif for UCI WorldTeam Bora–Hansgrohe.

Erik Baška is a Slovak former road racing cyclist, who competed as a professional from 2013 to 2022. He took up cycle racing at the age of 14, initially competing as a mountain biker before branching into road racing at the suggestion of his coach Tibor Velits, uncle of racing cyclists Martin Velits and Peter Velits.

Martin Riška is a Slovak former racing cyclist. He competed at the 2000 Summer Olympics and the 2004 Summer Olympics.

In the run up to the 2023 Slovak parliamentary election, various organisations carried out opinion polling to gauge voting intention in Slovakia. Results of such polls are displayed in this article. The date range for these opinion polls are from the previous parliamentary election, held on 29 February 2020, to September 30th, 2023.

The 2021 Okolo Slovenska was the 65th edition of the Okolo Slovenska road cycling stage race. It was held from 15 and 19 September 2021, as a category 2.1 event on the 2021 UCI Europe Tour.

Ondrej Prostredník is a Slovak evangelical priest, theologian, university lecturer and politician. He is member of the Progressive Slovakia party. Since 2023, he has served as a MP of the National Council of Slovakia.
