Natchez is an unincorporated community in Monroe County, Alabama, United States. It was the birthplace of William C. Maxwell, a pilot in the United States Army Air Service and namesake of Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery, Alabama. [2] The New Hope Baptist Church, located in Natchez, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. A post office was operated in Natchez from 1891 to 1960. [3]

The Natchez Trace Parkway is a national parkway in the Southeastern United States that commemorates the historic Natchez Trace and preserves sections of that original trail. Its central feature is a two-lane road that extends 444 miles (715 km) from Natchez, Mississippi, to Nashville, Tennessee. Access to the parkway is limited, with more than 50 access points in Mississippi, Alabama, and Tennessee. The southern end of the route is in Natchez at its intersection with Liberty Road, and the northern end is northeast of Fairview, Tennessee, in the suburban community of Pasquo, at an intersection with Tennessee State Route 100. In addition to Natchez and Nashville, larger cities along the route include Jackson and Tupelo, Mississippi, and Florence, Alabama.

Kennamer Cove is located on the side of Gunters Mountain, and was first settled circa 1814 by the Kennamer family. Many of the inhabitants of the cove joined the Union Army during the American Civil War. Kennamer Cove is known regionally for hosting one of the largest family reunions in Alabama. Cathedral Caverns State Park and Kennamer Cave, a cave owned and preserved by the Southeastern Cave Conservancy Inc., are both located in Kennamer Cove.

The New Alcazar Hotel, also known as Alcazar Hotel, is a historic building in Clarksdale, Mississippi, United States. Once considered one of the premier hotels in the South, its guests included the playwright Tennessee Williams. Located in the hotel were a restaurant and several other businesses, including WROX radio station, which broadcast from the hotel for 40 years.
