Nekala is a neighbourhood in the district of Iides in the city of Tampere, Finland. The area has one of Finland's biggest allotment gardens. [1]
Tampere is a city in Finland and the regional capital of Pirkanmaa. It is located in the Finnish Lakeland. The population of Tampere is approximately 260,000, while the metropolitan area has a population of approximately 423,000. It is the 3rd most populous municipality in Finland, and the second most populous urban area in the country after the Helsinki metropolitan area.

The population of Nokia is approximately 36,000, while the Tampere metropolitan area has a population of approximately 423,000. It is the 33rd most populous municipality in Finland, and the second largest in the Pirkanmaa region after Tampere.
Tampere University of Technology (TUT) was Finland's second-largest university in engineering sciences. The university was located in Hervanta, a suburb of Tampere. It was merged with the University of Tampere to create the new Tampere University on 1 January 2019.
Pirkanmaa, also known as Tampere Region in government documents, is a region of Finland. It borders the regions of Satakunta, South Ostrobothnia, Central Finland, Päijät-Häme, Kanta-Häme and Southwest Finland. Most of the water area in the Kokemäki River watershed is located in the Pirkanmaa region, although Lake Vanajavesi is partly in the Kanta-Häme region. The region got its name from Pirkkala, which in the Middle Ages comprised most of present-day Pirkanmaa. Tampere Stadium, also known as Ratina Stadium, designed by architect Timo Penttilä and completed in 1965, is a multi-purpose stadium in Tampere, Finland, with a seating capacity of 16,800 people, and up to 32,000 people for concerts. In 2018, the stadium hosted the IAAF World U20 Championships. The pitch and main stand were originally completed for the 1952 1952 Summer Olympics when Ratina hosted five qualification and preliminary round matches. In 2009, Ratina was one of the stadiums of the UEFA Women's Euro 2009. Ratina has also hosted several matches of the Finland national football team.

The Tampere Hall is the largest congress centre in the Nordic countries, located in the southern edge of Sorsapuisto, in the centre of Tampere, Finland. It was inaugurated on September 29, 1990. Opposite of the Tampere Hall is the main building of the University of Tampere, and the Tampere railway station is only half a kilometre away. The seating capacity of the main auditorium is 1,756.
The Tampere Open is a professional tennis tournament played on clay courts. It is currently part of the ATP Challenger Tour, and has been held annually at the Tampere Tennis Center in Tampere, Finland, since 2008. Prior to that ATP Challenger competition was held at the Pyynikki tennis courts from 1982–2007.
Nokia Arena, also known by its non-sponsored name Tampere Deck Arena, is an indoor arena in Tampere, Finland, which hosts ice hockey games and large cultural events. It is the home arena of Ilves and Tappara of the SM-liiga. Its construction was approved by the City Council of Tampere on 19 May 2010, and it was officially opened on 3 December 2021.

Vihioja is a district in Tampere, Finland. Together with Nekala and Jokipohja, it forms the larger Nekala subdivision. Vihioja is bordered on the north by Nekala, on the east by Jokipohja, on the south by Koivistonkylä and on the west by Hatanpää.
Viinikka is a district of Tampere, Finland, located 1,5 kilometers southeast of its city center on the west side of Lake Iides. Its neighboring district is Nekala. Its construction began in 1914 on the former lands of Hatanpää Manor. The stone church, opened in 1932, is located in Viinikka.
