The 2017 season was reported to be played from 18 to 28 July 2017, but took place in September 2017, with the Kabul International Cricket Ground hosting all the matches.

Mujeeb Ur Rahman Zadran is an Afghan cricketer, who plays for the Afghanistan national cricket team. Two months after his international debut, at the age of 16 years and 325 days, he became the youngest player to take a five-wicket haul in a One Day International. He was one of the eleven cricketers to play in Afghanistan's first Test match, against India, in June 2018. Afghanistan lost the one-sided Test within two days. Mujeeb scored 15 and 3 in the two innings, respectively, and got one wicket after conceding 75 runs. It was also Mujeeb's first-class cricket debut. His uncle, Noor Ali Zadran, is also an Afghan international cricketer.

Nijat Masood is an Afghan cricketer, who mainly plays as a right-arm medium bowler. He made his international debut for the Afghanistan cricket team in June 2022.

Azmatullah Omarzai is an Afghan cricketer from Nurgal District of Kunar province in eastern Afghanistan. Azmatullah started playing cricket when he was 14 years old.

He made his List A debut on 16 October 2020, for Band-e-Amir Region in the 2020 Ghazi Amanullah Khan Regional One Day Tournament.

Abdul Rahman Rahmani, popularly known as Abdul Rahman, is an Afghan cricketer. He made his first-class debut on 16 April 2019 for Kabul Region in the 2019 Ahmad Shah Abdali 4-day Tournament. He made his Twenty20 debut on 13 October 2019 for Kabul Eagles in the 2019 Shpageeza Cricket League.

Sediqullah Atal, also known as Sediq Atal, is an Afghan cricketer. He is an opening batter, who made his international debut for Afghanistan in 2023.
