The auction was conducted on 12 and 13 February 2022 in Bengaluru. A total of 600 players were selected for the auction. Prominent players like Aaron Finch, Martin Guptill, Suresh Raina, Shakib al Hasan, Eoin Morgan, Amit Mishra, Ishant Sharma and Andrew Tye went unsold. [12]

Sunrisers Hyderabad are a professional franchise cricket team based in Hyderabad, Telangana, India, that plays in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The Deccan Chargers (DC) were a franchise cricket team based in Hyderabad, India, that competed in the Indian Premier League (IPL), a professional Twenty20 cricket (T20) league in India. They were one of the ten teams that competed in the 2011 Indian Premier League, making their fourth appearance in all IPL tournaments. The team was captained by Kumar Sangakkara and coached by Darren Lehmann.
