Pune Warriors India (PWI) was a Pune-based franchise cricket team that participated in the Indian Premier League (IPL). They played their first Twenty20 match in the 2011 season of the IPL against Kings XI Punjab. [2] PWI played in three editions of the IPL, failing to reach the playoffs on all occasions. [3] They came last in the 2012 IPL, and came second-last in the 2011 and the 2013 IPL. [4] [5] [6] After the 2013 season, PWI owners withdrew from the IPL due to financial differences with the Board of Control for Cricket in India. [7] In total, 46 players had played for PWI, [8] of whom Robin Uthappa had played the most matches (46, since his debut for the franchise in 2011). [9]
The leading run-scorer for PWI was Uthappa, who had scored 1,103 runs. [10] Jesse Ryder scored 86 runs against Delhi Daredevils in 2012, which was the highest individual score in an innings by a PWI batsman. [11] Steve Smith had the team's best batting average: 40.07. [12] [lower-greek 1] Among PWI's bowlers, Rahul Sharma had taken more wickets than any other, claiming 34. [13] The best bowling average among bowlers who had bowled more than 20 overs was Yuvraj Singh's 22.93. [14] Ashok Dinda had the best bowling figures in an innings; he claimed four wickets against Mumbai Indians in a 2012 match, conceding 18 runs. [15] Uthappa had taken the most catches as wicket-keeper for PWI, [16] with 24, and had also made the most stumpings: six. [16] Smith and Manish Pandey had claimed the highest number of catches among fielders, taking 14 each. [17]

Yuvraj Singh is a former Indian international cricketer who played in all formats of the game. He is an all-rounder who batted left-handed in the middle order and bowled slow left-arm orthodox. He has won 7 Player of the Series awards in ODI cricket, which is joint 3rd highest by an Indian, shared with former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly. He is also the son of former Indian fast bowler and Punjabi actor Yograj Singh.
Shane Robert Watson is an Australian cricket commentator and former cricketer who played for and occasionally captained the Australian national cricket team between 2002 and 2016. He was an all-rounder who played as a right-handed batsman and a right-arm fast-medium bowler. He was ranked as the world's No. 1 all-rounder in Twenty20 Internationals (T20I) for 150 weeks, including an all-time record of 120 consecutive weeks from 13 October 2011 to 30 January 2014. He began playing during the Australian team's golden era in the early 2000s, and was the last player from this era to retire. In his time playing for Australia, Watson was part of their winning squad in the Cricket World Cup two times in 2007, and 2015 along with the ICC Champions Trophy twice in 2006 and 2009, with Watson named as the player of the match in the final on both occasions, as he scored the winning run in the 2006 tournament, with the winning six in the 2009 tournament.
Dwayne John Bravo is a Trinidadian cricketer, a former captain of the West Indies cricket team and the current bowling coach of Chennai Super Kings. A right arm seam bowling all-rounder, Bravo is well known for his aggressive lower-order batting and for his bowling in the final overs of a match. During his prime, he was regarded as one of the best death bowlers in T20 Cricket. He also performs as a singer.
Dwayne Romel Smith is a former Barbadian international cricketer who has represented the West Indies in all three formats of the game. An all-rounder, he is known as an aggressive and powerful right-handed batsman, bowls medium pace, and is also an athletic fielder. Smith was a part of the West Indies team that won the 2012 T20 World Cup.
Robin Venu Uthappa is a former Indian cricketer, who last played for Kerala in domestic cricket & Chennai Super Kings in IPL. He has represented team India in ODIs and T20Is.

Regarded as one of the greatest limited overs bowler,Narine was a part of the West Indies team that won the 2012 T20 World Cup, where he took the winning wicket of Lasith Malinga in the final. In November 2023, he announced his retirement from international cricket.

Ishwar Chand Pandey is an Indian cricketer who played for Madhya Pradesh. He was a right-arm medium-fast bowler who was the leading wicket-taker of the 2012–13 Ranji Trophy. He was bought by the Chennai Super Kings in 2014 IPL auction for Rs 1.5 crores.Then he was bought by Rising Pune Supergiants in 2016 and 2017 edition of IPL. On 12 September 2022, he announced his retirement from international and first class cricket.

The Hyderabad cricket team is senior men's domestic cricket team based in the city of Hyderabad, India, run by the Hyderabad Cricket Association. They represent the region of Telangana in the state of Andhra Pradesh in domestic competitions.
